Ethical issues were considered to ensure compliance with research ethics and protect all human participants. An informed consent letter was obtained from the research advisor and distributed to all participants with the survey. The letter explained the purpose and voluntary nature of the study, and assured confidentiality of responses. Only gender, section and skin color were required in the anonymous questionnaire to allow for data analysis while maintaining participant privacy.

Ethical Issues

During the course of this study, we took into considerations several ethical issues. This

process was done so to guarantee compliance with research ethics and to ensure that all

respondents involved in the study are protected as human participants. Before we conducted the

data gathering, an informed consent letter was secured from our research adviser. All the

participants in the study were given the survey questionnaire which has the consent letter

attached to it. In the informed consent letter, we made the participants aware of the purpose of

the study we were conducting and why they were chosen as part of the sample for the research.

However, we also clearly indicated in the letter that in any event where they do not feel

comfortable to participate or would like to withdraw during the actual data gathering, they

reserve the rights to do so. Hence, participation was totally voluntary. Moreover, we highlighted

that their responses would not be reported individually as the study is quantitative in nature and

we assured them that their answers shall remain confidential. As to the research questionnaire,

only their gender, section, and skin color were asked. Names were optional as we are not

supposed to need them in the data analysis.

NOTE:

Please make sure to cover every ethical step you have taken in this section. This sample

write up may not be complete as it is too short for a study. DO NOT COPY PASTE THIS.
