    Precautions to be taken during experiment

    a. Placing the eye such that the line of view is perpendicular to the scale at which the
    measurement is being read to avoid parallax error.
    ( for ammeter/voltmeter/measuring cylinder etc)

    b. Check the instrument before used and take into account the zero error of instrument to

    increase accuracy of measurement being made. ( for calipper/micrometer/weight scale etc.)
    c. Diameter of wire/ rod / is measured at several position and the average is taken to increase the
    accuracy of the reading..

    a. Make sure the spring is not over loaded so that it is beyond the elastic limit.
    (spring return to original length when load is taken off)

    b. Placing the eye such that the line of view is perpendicular to the scale of the ruler to avoid

    c. The time for 10 complete oscillations is taken twice and the average is counted to reduce random
    errors.

    a. Liquid must be stirred constantly so that temperature rises evenly.


    b. Aluminum block must be wrapped with insulating material to prevent heat lost to surrounding

    a. All connections of wire & other device must be tight to ensure the good electrical contacts.
    b. Switch off the switch after readings are taken to prevent wires from heating up (resistance
    increase).
    Electricity c. Avoid parallax error by placing the eye such that the line of view is perpendicular to the scale of
    the ammeter/ voltmeter.

    a. Ensure that there are no other magnets nearby to prevent the change of pattern of magnetic
    Electromag field.
    netism b. The insulation on the short copper wire and the cooper tracks must be completely removed to
    have good electrical contact.
