SCHOOL NEWS
PTG BBQ/ICE CREAM SOCIAL: Save the date and join us for our last PTG BBQ/Ice Cream
Social of the year for an evening of family fun Wednesday, May 2nd starting with a BBQ at
5:30 pm (cost $6.00 per person includes hamburger/side dish/chips/drink) followed by our
Ice Cream Social/Art Show and Spring Band Concert starting at 7:00 pm. This is always a fun
event for the entire family.

FIRST COMMUNION RETREAT: Our 2nd graders will be attending a special retreat on
Saturday, May 5th in the Ministry Center. The retreat is from 9:00am – noon.

7TH GRADE APPLEBEE’S FUNDRAISER: Invite family and friends to join us Sunday, May 6th from
8:00 – 10:00 a.m. for a delicious breakfast and great company at Applebee’s located at
7677 Balboa Ave. Breakfast may also be ordered for take-out. This is a special fundraiser
hosted and served by the 7th grade students. This 7th grade fundraiser helps to raise funds for
the 8th grade dinner/dance.

YEARBOOKS: It’s that time again to place your school yearbook order. Yearbooks are
$25.00 each. Make checks payable to St. Columba School or pay by credit card. Look for
the order form coming home today with your child. Orders must be received by May 11th.
