Once upon a time, there was a girl called Cinderella. Cinderella is lived happily with her mother and father
until her mother died. Feel that Cinderella needs a mother figure in his life, Cinderella’s father remarries to
a woman who has two daughters of her own.
Unfortunately, Cinderella's father dies and she lived only with her stepmother and stepsisters. They were
very bossy, she had to do all the housework.
One day on invitation to the hall come to the family. The King invited for all the eligible ladies in the
kingdom so as to find Prince a wife. Her stepsisters would no let her go. Cinderella was sad. The
stepsisters went to the hall without her.
Fortunately, the fairy Godmother came and helped her to get to the hall with the wave of magic wand,
helped prepared Cinderella for the hall. The fairy does warn her that is magic will end at a stroke of
midnight, so she must leaved the hall before than.
At the hall all people surprised when Cinderella arrived. And then the Prince invited Cinderella to danced.
He fell in love with her.
All of a sudden, the clock star to chime that is a midnight. Cinderella hastily runs away, dropped a glass
slipper as she does so. Cinderella escapes, with nothing from the night left, except from the other glass
slipper, which had not changed back.
Prince Charming orders his love to be found by means of the odd shoe, and the Grand Duke is sent
around the land getting every girl in the land to try on the glass slipper to see if it fits.
Eventually the Grand Duke reaches the residence of Cinderella, but she is nowhere to be seen. The
stepsisters frantically try to get the glass slipper to fit so as to wed into royalty, but compatible nothing
that. The Grand Duke is about to leave as Cinderella finally appears. He orders the messenger to brought
forth the glass slipper, yet the stepmother in a last minute attempt to prevent her stepdaughter from better
things, causes the messenger to trip, thus broken the fragile shoe into pieces. Yet the arrogant woman
hadn't betted on Cinderella produced the other glass slipper, which fits onto Cinderella's foot perfectly.
Very soon, wedding bells ring, and Cinderella married her prince, and they live happily ever after.

Pada suatu ketika, ada seorang anak perempuan yang dipanggil dengan nama Cinderella. Cinderella
hidup bahagia dengan Ibu dan Ayahnya sampai Ibunya meninggal. Merasa bahwa Cinderella
membutuhkan gambaran seorang ibu di hidupnya, Ayah Cinderella menikah lagi dengan seorang
perempuan yang mempunyai dua anak perempuan kandung.
Sayangnya, Ayah Cinderella meninggal dan dia hanya tinggal dengan saudara-saudara tiri dan ibu
tirinya. Mereka sangat suka memerintah, dia harus melakukan semua pekerjaan rumah tangga.
Suatu hari undangan menuju aula datang kepada keluarga itu. Raja mengundang untuk semua wanita
yang dapat dipilih di dalam kerajaan untuk mencarikan Pangeran seorang isteri. Saudara – saudara
tirinya tidak mengijinkan dia pergi. Cinderella sedih. Saudara – saudara tirinya pergi ke aula itu tanpa dia.
Untungnya, Ibu Peri datang dan membantunya untuk datang ke aula dengan bantuan lambaian tongkat
ajaib, yang membantu Cinderella menyiapkan diri untuk pergi ke aula itu. Ibu Peri memperingatkannya
sihir itu akan berakhir dengan segera pada tengah malam, maka dia harus meninggalkan aula sebelum
itu.
Di aula semua orang-orang kagum ketika Cinderella tiba. Kemudian Pangeran mengajak Cinderella untuk
menari. Ia jatuh cinta kepadanya. Tanpa disadari, bintang jam untuk menunjukkan itu adalah tengah
malam. Cinderella dengan tergesa-gesa berlari pergi menjatuhkan salah satu sepatu kaca yang
dipakainya. Cinderella bebas, tidak ada apapun yang tertinggal dari malam itu, kecuali salah satu sepatu
kaca, yang tidak berubah bentuk.
Pangeran memerintah agar cintanya ditemukan dengan menggunakan petunjuk sepatu yang aneh, dan
Adipati dikirim di wilayah sekitar untuk menemui setiap anak perempuan di dalam wilayah untuk mencoba
memakai sepatu kaca itu dan melihat jika itu sesuai.
Secepatnya Adipati menjangkau tempat kediaman Cinderella, tetapi dia tidak terlihat dimanapun. Para
saudara perempuan tirinya yang dengan kebingungan mencoba sepatu kaca itu agar cocok supaya
mendapatkan sayembara pernikahan itu, tetapi tidak ada dari mereka yang cocok. Adipati baru akan
meninggalkan tempat ketika Cinderella yang akhirnya nampak. Ia meminta pesuruh untuk mengeluarkan
sepatu kaca itu, namun ibu tiri di suatu detik terakhir mencoba untuk mencegah, anak tiri perempuannya
dari berbagai hal lebih baik, menyebabkan pesuruh jatuh ketika berjalan, dengan begitu hancurlah sepatu
yang mudah pecah menjadi berkeping - keping. Namun perempuan yang angkuh tidak pernah
menyangka bahwa Cinderella mengeluarkan sepatu kaca lainnya, yang sesuai dengan ke kaki Cinderella
dengan sempurna.
Segera, lonceng perkawinan berbunyi, Cinderella menikah dengan pangerannya, dan mereka hidup
dengan bahagia selama - lamanya.

escape.
The next day he ran away from home when her aunt and uncle were having breakfast, he fled into the
wood. In the wood she felt very tired and hungry. Then she saw this cottage. She knocked, but no one
answered her so she went inside and fell asleep Meanwhile, seven dwarfs came home from his work.
They get into. There, they found Snow White woke up from his sleep. He saw the dwarfs. The dwarf
said: " What is your name ? Snow White said, " My name is Snow White. " One dwarf said, " If you want,
you can stay here with us. ' Snow White tells all about her story. Then daughter snow and the seven
dwarves are now living happily ever after.

2.The Origin of the city Surabaya

Once upon a time, there were two animals, Sura and Baya. Sura was the name of a shark and Baya was
a crocodile. They dwelled in an ocean.

Once Sura and Baya were looking for some nourishment. Abruptly, Baya saw a goat.

“Yummy, this is my lunch,” said Baya.

“No way! This is my midday meal. You are greedy” said Sura. Then they battled for the goat. After
several hours, they were very exhausted.

Feeling exhausted of battling, they lived in the different places. Sura dwelled in the water and Baya
dwelled in the land. The border was the sandy shore, so they would never battle afresh.

One day, Sura went to the land and looked for some nourishment in the stream. He was very famished
and there was not much nourishment in the sea. Baya was very furious when he knew that Sura broke
the pledge.

They fought afresh. They both hit each other. Sura bit Baya's tail. Baya did the same thing to Sura. He bit
very hard until Sura eventually provided up and A went back to the sea. Baya was happy.
3.The origin of the city of Banyuwangi

Once upon a time, there was a local ruler named King Sulahkromo thing. Prime Minister King has named
Raden Sidopekso. Prime Minister 's wife has named Sri Tanjung. She is so beautiful and sweet that the
king wanted her to be his wife. One day, the King sent the Prime Minister for long missions. While the
Prime Minister went, the King tried to get Sri Tanjung. But the king failed.

He was very angry and upset. So, when Sidopekso back, the King told him that his wife was unfaithful
to him. Prime Minister is very angry with his wife. Sri Tanjung said that was not true. However,
Sidopekso said that he would kill her. She took him to the river bank.

Before he killed him and threw him into the river, he said that he will be proven innocent, Once
Sidopekso kill him, he threw his body into the river dirty. River soon became clean and start spreading
the wonderful aroma and very fragrant. Sidopekso said, "... Banyu Wangi... Banyuwangi ". It means '
fragrant water '. Banyuwangi proof of love born of noble and sacred. That's the origin of the town of
Banyuwangi.

7.Love story of Cinderella

Once upon a time... In the past era, there was a beautiful young girl named Cinderella. He lived with his
mother and two sisters. Mother and sister arrogant and bad tempered. They treated Cinderella very
badly. Step mother made Cinderella do the hardest job in the house, such as scrubbing the floor,
cleaning the pot and pan and preparing food for the family. Second step sister, on the other hand, does

declared that he would marry the girl whose feet fitted the glass slipper. Stepsisters try on shoes, but it
was too small for them, no matter how hard they squeezed their toes into it.

In the end, the king's page lets Cinderella try the shoes. He stretched his legs and slipped the shoes on
the page. It fitted perfectly. Finally, he was ushered into a magnificent palace and height. Young kings
were glad to see him again. They marry and live happily ever after. End of story Cinderela no longer with
his mother and brothers sisters.

Once upon a time there lived a little, named Snow White. She lived with her aunt and
uncle because her parents were died.

One day she heard her aunt and uncle talking about leaving Snow White in the castle
because they wanted to go to America and they didn’t have enough money to take Snow
White with them.

Snow White didn’t want her uncle and aunt to do this. So she decided to run away. The
next morning she run away from home when her aunt and uncle were having breakfast, she
run away into the wood.

In the wood she felt very tired and hungry. Then she saw this cottage. She knocked but no
one answered so she went inside and felt asleep
 Meanwhile seven dwarfs were coming home from work. They went inside. There, they

may live here with us”. Snow White told the whole story about her. Then Snow white ad the
seven dwarfs lived happily ever after.

Contoh Narrative Text Bahasa Inggris Lengkap

Contoh Narrative text Bahasa Inggris - dalam sebuah pembelajaran bahasa inggris, hal yang satu ini tak luput dari
pandangan kita. Dalam Sebubah bab atau subab pasti kita menemukan pembahaan tentang narrative text / teks
narasi. Baiklah, langsung saja kita mulai diskusi belajarnya.

Secara luas Narrative text jika diartikan adalah :

a text which contains about story (fiction/non fiction/tales/folktales/fables/myths/epic) and its plot consists of climax
of the story (complication) then followed by the resolution. A narrative text is a text amuse, entertain and deal with
actual or vicarious experience in different ways.

artinya :
teks yang berisi tentang kisah (fiksi / non fiksi / dongeng / cerita rakyat / dongeng / mitos / epik) dan plot yang
terdiri dari klimaks cerita (komplikasi) kemudian diikuti oleh resolusi. Sebuah teks naratif adalah teks yang
menghibur, menghibur dan berurusan dengan pengalaman nyata atau perwakilan dengan cara yang berbeda.
1. Generic Structure:

 Orientation: berisi pengenalan tokoh, tempat dan waktu terjadinya cerita (siapa atau apa, kapan dan
dimana)
 Complication: Berisi puncak konflik/masalah dalam cerita. Sebuah cerita boleh memiliki complication
lebih dari satu.
 Resolution: Pemecahan masalah. Bisa berakhir dengan kegembiraan (happy ending) bisa pula berakhir
dengan kesedihan(sad ending).
Catatan:

Terkadang juga susunannya (generic structure): Orientation, Complication, Evaluation, Resolution dan
Reorientation. Untuk“Evaluation” dan “Reorientation” merupakan optional; bisa ada bisa tidak.Evaluation berisi
penilaian/evaluasi terhadap jalannya cerita atau konflik. Sedangkan Reorientation berisi penyimpulan isi akhir
cerita.

2. Grammatical features menggunakan tenses “past”

3. Sering menggunakan kata penghubung waktu (temporal conjunction), misalnya: once upon a time, one day,
long time ago, …

Narrative Text adalah teks yang isinya merupakan cerita atau kisah tentang sesuatu. Contoh narrative text: cerita
rakyat (folktale), cerita binatang (fable), Legenda (legend), cerita pendek (short story), dan sejenisnya. Di dalamnya
terdapat konflik/puncak masalah yang diikuti dengan penyelesaian. Fungsi utama teks ini adalah untuk berkisah atau
menghibur pembaca.

Contoh Narrative Text:

Ali Baba

Once upon a time there were 40 cruel thieves who put their stolen money and treasures in a cave. They went in the
cave by saying ”Open Sesame” to the cave entrance. A poor person, named Ali Baba saw them while they were
doing that, so he heard the opening word. After they left, he went toward the cave and opened it. Suddenly he found
a very large quantity of money and golden treasures. He took some of it and went back home. After that he became a
rich man and his brother wanted to know how he became rich.

Ali Baba turned into the richest man in his village. His evil brother was really jealous of him, and wanted to know
how he could get such a lot of money. Therefore, when Ali Baba went to the cave again to take some more money,
his brother followed him. He saw everything, and decided to go back the next day to take some money for himself.
The next morning he found a lot of money in the cave, and he wanted to take all of them. Unfortunately, when he
was busy carrying the money to his house, the thieves came. The boss of the thieves asked him how he knew about
the cave. He told everything, but unluckily they killed him and went to Ali Baba’s house.
After finding Ali Baba’s house, they made a plan to kill him the following night. Some of the thieves hid in big jars,
and the boss pretended that he was a merchant who wanted to sell the jars to Ali Baba. Ali Baba who was a kind
man invited the boss of the thief to have lunch together.

After lunch they took a rest. Luckily, the house maid went out of the house, and found that there were thieves inside
the jars. She finally boiled hot oil and poured it into the jars to kill all of them. The boss of the thieves was caught,
and put into prison.

Ali Baba was saved from the danger, and he finally lived happily ever after with his maid who became his wife
shortly after.

Golden Eggs
Long time ago a remote village, in central China was inhabited mainly with farmers and hunters. One day, a poor
farmer lost his entire livestock to flood. He prayed hard to God for help or his family would die of starvation. Few
days later, an old man with long grey beard, passed by his house took pity on him. He gave him a goose and said “ I
don’t have any expensive thing to give you and hope this goose will help you to ease your hardship.” A week later to
almost surprise the farmer found and egg in his yard. This was no ordinary egg. It was a golden egg. He was
suddenly overcome with joy. Thereafter, his livelihood had rapidly improved but the farmer had forgotten his earlier
hardship. He became lazy, arrogant and spendthrift. Strangely, the goose only laid one golden egg every six months.
The greedy farmer lost his patient and slaughtered his goose thinking there were plenty of golden eggs inside its
stomach. Though he very much regretted for his foolishness, it’s already too late.**

Pinocchio
Once upon a time, there was a puppeteer named Geppetto. He really wanted a boy but his wife has been died for a
long time ago. One day, he had an idea. He wanted to make a puppet so he would never felt lonely again. He made a
puppet all night without resting. In the morning, finally he finished his work. He named the puppet, Pinocchio. He
played whole day with Pinocchio. However, he felt lonely again because Pinocchio couldn't talk or walk by himself.
In the middle of the night, Geppetto prayed to the God. His wish was Pinocchio became a real boy, human. He
thought it on his mind in his dream.

In the next morning, he surprised. Pinocchio was alive. He really was happy. He tough Pinocchio how to walk, how
to speak, how to read etc. like a teacher. Pinocchio learned fast. He entered an elementary school. One day,
Pinocchio felt bored. So, he went home late. Geppetto worried about him. When Pinocchio came to home, Geppetto
asked him. He said he was on school but he didn't. Suddenly, Pinocchio's nose grow longer. It meant that Pinocchio
lied.

The next day, Pinocchio got caught by thieves. The thieves was the owner of circus. Pinocchio became a slave for
the circus. He was famous because he was a talking puppet. Geppetto worried him. Pinocchio didn't come home for
2 days. He found Pinocchio everywhere. When he discovered the sea, big wave smashed him. He was on whale's
stomach when he awoke. He couldn't find the way out.
In different place, Pinocchio finally could get out from circus. He went to home but Geppetto wasn't on there. He
found Geppetto at sea. He had the same accident like Geppetto. He met Geppetto in whale's stomach. They got out
from its stomach by made a fire.
They went home back together. In the end, they lived happy forever after.

A Lane Going Up The Hill
It had been a heavy rainstorm in Kampung Sepang. Jabri and Halil had just finished their dinner together at Jabri’s
house. They were sitting in the living room for coffee and conversation, hoping, the rain would stop soon.

It was half past eleven at night and the downpour was showing no signs for stopping. “It looks like you’ll have to
spent the night here, Halil.” Said Jabri “No way,” Halil said, “I’ve to be at work early tomorrow morning.”

A few moment later Halil got into the car, started the engine, and said good night to Jibri. Something told him that
he shouldn’t have turned off the lane going up the hill, but it was the shortest way home. He knew that lane. It run
across an old Chinese cemetery. There were no lights, no cars, no people, just Halil and his old car.

All of a sudden, a white shape appeared in the middle of the lane. Halil shone his beam of light in that direction. The
white shape turned to Halil. He saw a pair of crimson eyes staring at him. It was a-long-haired woman in a long
white dress. She grinned at Halil.

At once, Halil felt his blood frozen. His heartbeat stopped. His mouth opened but he was speechless. His eyes
opened widely in terror.

Suddenly consciousness came into his mind. He quickly reserved his car and sped away just in time.

“I think I’ll take up your offer to spend the night here after all,” Halil told Jabri with his legs trembling.
