Teaching Experience
● Student Teaching, Egg Harbor Township School District, third grade LRC classroom, March-May ‘18
Taught LRC math 7 students and LRC reading to 6 students in third grade. Implemented a
research based writing assignment utilizing differentiated materials and instruction to meet
student needs. Math lessons followed Pearson Envision curriculum. Observed an IEP meeting
and participated in the annual review of a student’s IEP.
● Global Student Teaching, International School of Amsterdam, second grade classroom, Jan.-Mar. ‘18
Taught lessons following the Primary Years Programme (PYP) curriculum. Utilized the teaching
method of inquiry based learning in Units of Inquiry on Telling Stories and Systems of a
Community. Observed DRAs and participated in department and school wide staff meetings.
Incorporated technology into lessons to utilize the 1:1 student to iPad ratio.
● Practicum Experience, Franklin Park School District, first grade inclusion classroom, Fall ‘16
Taught math lessons and a read aloud lesson utilizing differentiated instruction
Observed and assisted both the cooperating general education teacher as well as the special
education teacher. Observed and interviewed related services professionals in OT and AIS
● Practicum Experience, Trenton School District, first grade classroom, Fall ‘15 and Spring ‘16
Taught read aloud lessons, word study and guided reading lessons as well as performing DRAs
and running records, created a functional behavior assessment of a student
Observed and assisted cooperating teacher with small group instruction and performing
assessments with students.
● Practicum Experience, West Windsor-Plainsboro School District, third grade classroom, Spring ‘15
Taught lessons in math and science and incorporated current events into the classroom
Observed and assisted cooperating teacher with checking students’ homework and preparing for
the PARCC test.
