Role/ Title
Project: xxxxxxx
Description:
Geocoding Application generates geocodes for the SDP’s of gas, water and electric meters based on
the address, city, state and zip code. Geocode helps meter installer to identify meter in right location
and perform service order at right time. This applications processes utility data and submits it to
geocode engine, and updates the geocode engine response in production tables. It resubmits request
for better geocode accuracy values if the previous received response is less than desired.
Responsibilities:
• Involved in design, coding and testing.
• Created UML class diagrams and sequence diagrams for the entire application.
• Used Apache XMLBeans software for XML data binding.
• Implemented DB inserts/updates based on the constraints.
• Performed data cleaning for the xml raw data.
• Used Log4J for writing into different logs files Application Log and Error Log.
• Added features to send e-mail using Java Mail API.
• Used Google geocode engine to get geocode values.
• Performed unit testing using JUnit.
Environment: JAVA1.5, JDBC, JAVAMAIL, SQL SERVER, WINDOWS, LOG4J, XML, XMLBEANS,
JUNIT, XML SPY, ALTOVA.

Description:
Developed software for electric and gas utilities by implementing advanced metering and automatic
meter reading (AMI/AMR) systems. This software is built with scalable, n-tier, distributed architecture
that includes web based services and interfaces. NextGen data collection adapters are two-way smart
interfaces with AMI data collection systems that support provisioning of AMI meters and network
devices, retrieval of meter readings and event data, on-request data retrieval, power status queries,
and communication of command and control messages to end-point devices.
Responsibilities:
• Designed, implemented and tested different applications for AMR systems using Java, SQL and
XML technologies.
• Imported metering data from XML files and flat files to standard data formats and published into
JMS queue using JBoss JMS publisher.
Environment: JAVA1.5, J2EE, HTML, XML, XMLBeans, JUNIT, TOMCAT 5.5.x, JMS, JBOSS 3.x,
ECLIPSE 3.x, JIRA, ORACLE 9i, TOAD, ALTOVA, WINDOWS.
