Spiritual Lineage of AYM has its roots in Sri Lanka since 1953,with the spiritual

Founder- Divine Life Society –Rishikesh ,India, and AYM is founded by Shrimathi
Selvam Kalyanasunderam B.A (Barrister – at- Law, Attorney–at- Law) a Sanskrit
scholar and an authority of yogic scriptures, and the direct disciple/ successor of
H.H.Swami Satchidananda Saraswathy Mathaji of Divine Life Society who was the
first lady Sanyasi disciple of H.H.Swami Sivananda Saraswathy Maharaj .
The Yoga center and the Diploma Course is registered and approved by Tertiary and
Vocational Education Commission-Ministry of skills Development and Vocational Training).
Affiliated to SVYASA Yoga University, India.
The syllabus which is taught has been developed by Ministry of AYUSH Government of India
and S-VYASA Yoga University, India
Astanka Yoga Mandhir is one of the Founding members for Asian Yoga Therapy Association –
who certifies yoga therapist in Sri Lanka.
India, Japan, China, France, Portugal, Vietnam, Australia are the few countries along with Sri
Lankans who were qualified as instructors from the center.
The exams can be written in Native language of Sri Lanka along with English, Japanese,
Russian, and other selected languages.
Astanka Yoga Mandhir is one of the pioneer partnering yoga center with Indian Cultural
Center for various yoga activities conducted in Sri Lanka

While registering to the course participants should fill the student registration form and attach their
CV along with it.
Copies of qualification/academic certificate need to be submitted in the first week.
Submit two passport size photograph/softcopy of photograph along with the registration form.
Submit a copy of NIC / Passport within the first week of registration.
Non – Sri Lankans need to submit a copy of their Visa within the first week of registration
The course contains 300 hours of direct learning. Student can join either in weekday batch or weekend
batch.
Students should bring their yoga mat to the class. Videos and materials will be provided for learning.
After completion of classes, participants should submit personal progress chart, Yoga Knowledge book,
Sadhana chart, Stick man drawing and a yoga journal.
The course followers will be subjected to written exam which will have Happy exams, part-I, part-II,
and open book exam. Followers should attend Asana practical exam and Pranayama practical exams.
After completion of written exams, practical exams and submission of assignments the course
followers will be given Diploma certificate. Students who did not submit the assignments before the
due date will be given a certificate for completing certification course. After the submission of
assignments diploma certificate will be given.
Participants will be given intern sheet for teaching classes, all the participants are required to
complete 50-75 hours (based on individual capacity) of teaching during the course.
Total Fee of this course along with registration fee is LKR 140,000.00
Students who would like to receive a certificate from Vivekananda Yoga Global should pay an
additional amount of LKR 65,000.00
Students can pay the full amount when they are joining the course. With prior notice they can pay the
fees in installment.
Students who are paying through installment they can pay in three installments. Each installment will
have one month period of time. Students have to pay within the first week/Day of the month.
If a student wants to complete the course before the expected completion date, he/she can attend
extra hours. For every 50 extra hours LKR 10,000.00 need to be paid.
If a student not able to complete the course within the expected completion date, he/she can join the
next batch. For every 100hours LKR. 15,000.00 need to be paid.
All students need to complete the evaluation process to receive certificate. A student who fails in
written/practical exam has to reappear. Re- Exam fee is LKR 20000.00
Students who submit Assignments after due date need to pay LKR 5000.00.
Any concern in paying the fees can be discussed with the course director and special arrangements
need to be done.
In the case of withdrawing from the course the installment shall not be reimbursed.
The Course will be completed by the month of May 2019.
