Systems Project Manager – Distribution Centers 2013-2014


Vargo Integrated Systems, Inc Columbus, OH
- Managed fourteen material handling projects for five clients valued collectively at $67.1
million. 100% successful completion and on-time rate. Projects included two
omnichannel distribution centers.
- Utilizing Monte Carlo simulation, developed methodology to determine likelihood of on-
time completion. Modeling allowed for early mobilization of additional resources for at
risk projects.

Plant Engineer 2010-2013


Marshall Bottles, Inc Urbana, OH
- Reduced product warehousing square footage by 30% using probability forecasting,
saved an estimated $20,000 annually in carrying cost and waste; postponed the
requirement for a $400,000 warehouse expansion.
- Implemented $345,000 in upgrades to 4 blow molding machines, completed the rebuild
of one surplus machine for sale yielding 213% ROI.

Project Manager – Software 2007-2010

- Managed 17 client Internet projects valued collectively at $9.7 million. 94% successful
completion rate, 67% on-time rate, and 72% on-budget rate.
2000-2007
Program Manager and Propulsion Engineer
The United States Air Force Colorado Springs, CO
- Co-authored a fuel expenditure modeling program to conserve fuel during satellite orbit
change. Resulted in a 7% fuel reduction during orbit change yielding up to five months
of additional life.
- Worked extensively with technical assistants from Lockheed Martin and Northrup
Grumman. Competently audited portions of a failed satellite launch attributed to poor
coding quality control at a contractor. Implemented a computer software program
created with contractors to analyze fuel-based water hammer.
- Managed the Auxiliary Thrusting and the Stabilization and Control subsystems for the
spacecraft portion of the Milstar satellite constellation resulting in zero missed field
links.

- Led the company’s effort to migrate from heterogeneous Apache, Perl, MySQL
platforms to a Linux, Java, Oracle enterprise platform.
