It’s who you are and where you are. It’s
where you stand and what you stand for.

YOUR PASSION. YOUR PURPOSE.

YOUR THING. FINd IT HERE.
We’re small, but we have big personality. Our student-teacher
ratio is one of the lowest in Canada, which means in many
cases you’ll be researching and studying alongside
your professors right from the start.

Grenfell Campus, located in Corner Brook, Newfoundland
and Labrador, is a campus of Memorial University offering
undergraduate and graduate programs in a variety of disciplines.
With approximately 1,400 students, the campus prides itself in
providing a supportive learning environment, conducting
influential research and engaging with the community.

We are situated on traditional Mi’kmaw territory, and we

acknowledge with respect the diverse histories of the
Beothuk, Mi’kmaq, Innu and Inuit of this province.

3
University town,
City spirit
We’re a city of about 20,000 in scenic western Newfoundland.

We’re a thriving theatre community with several productions

each year and our art galleries are home to exhibits from
around the world.

Take a stroll downtown for shopping, nightlife and dining

in a variety of restaurants. Downtown is also the home to
festivals including our busy Winter Carnival celebration.

The beautiful Corner Brook Stream Trail offers close to 20 kms

of paths throughout the city, ideal for hiking and snowshoeing.

When you need to unwind, play in one of the many sports

facilities. And the nearby Civic Centre is home to a
fitness centre, walking track and ice surfaces.

Our weather
Summers are warm and breezy, and fall months are characterized by
beautiful, brightly-coloured foliage. Our winters are cool, with average
temperatures falling just below the freezing mark with a seasonal
snowfall of more than four meters.
