KYC is abbreviated as Know Your Customer, which will be useful to the Banks, Insurance
Companies, etc. e-KYC service is offered by UIDAI and its main objective is for the verification of
his/her credentials digitally. Aadhaar card holders can now get following personal details verified at
various organizations while applying. The service makes e-KYC instantaneous, totally secure and
paperless while enhancing privacy of data. Based on the Aadhaar Number only the operator can
authenticate with the help of biometric readers. If the mobile number is registered with the Aadhaar
Number, the Citizen receives an OTP (One Time Password) to his/her registered mobile number.
The Concept of this Service is to Concern the data which is not Concern. By authenticating the details
the none concerned data will be updated as Concern data and will be stored in the SRDH Server. The
applicant needs to visit the nearest MeeSeva franchise for authenticating the details by Aadhaar Number
(UID).

This section contains instructions for the operators of the MeeSeva web application to apply for Aadhaar
e-KYC.
1) In MeeSeva home screen, under List of Services, select Aadhaar Department as depicted in
Figure 1.
4) Enter Aadhaar (UID) Number and click on validate Button as depicted in Figure 4.
5) After click on validate button another window displays, select Authenticate Type OTP (One Time
Password) or Biometric and click on Authenticate button as depicted in Figure 5.
Note: Based on the details the Operator can authenticate the Citizen data in 2 ways as per the wish of
citizen.
a. Bio-Metric Authentication
b. OTP (One Time Password)
Bio-Metric Authentication:
♦ For Authentication by Bio Metric, Operators will use the biometric scanning devices.
♦ The Operator will authenticate by placing the thumb (For Finger Prints) of the citizen on the
biometric scanning device.
♦ In case the biometric authentication is Success the receipt will be generated with the relevant
details.
♦ In case of authentication is Failure, a message will displayed that bio metric not matched.
♦ If the citizen mobile number is updated in UIDI, the operator will authenticate by updating OTP
which will be sent to the applicant registered mobile number.
♦ In case the OTP authentication is Success the receipt will be generated with the relevant details.
♦ In case if OTP is not received, the citizen should authenticate the data by biometric scanning
device only.
♦ Finally these authenticated data will be updated in the SRDH Server at the EOD.
Type 1: - Here selects Authenticate Type as OTP (One Time Password)
6) After click on authenticate button citizen receives OTP to his registered Mobile, Enter OTP and click
on Verify button as depicted in Figure 6.
9) On confirmation, a receipt will be generated. The receipt will contain the date and applicant Name,
Informant Name, Aadhaar Card No. as depicted in Figure 9.

Note: - On submission of the request, Citizen Receives Message. Like your Request for Aadhaar
e- KYC Application has been entered vide Application Number, Transaction Id.
Type 2: - Here selects Authenticate Type as Bio-Metric Authentication
10) After click on validate button another window displays, select Authenticate Type as Biometric and
select Bio metric Device type and click on Authenticate button as depicted in Figure 10.

12) After click on Capture button message displays like Place the finger as depicted in Figure 12.
16) On confirmation, a receipt will be generated. The receipt will contain the date and applicant Name,
Informant Name, Aadhaar Card No. as depicted in Figure 16.
Note: - On submission of the request, Citizen Receives Message. Like your Request for Aadhaar
e- KYC Application has been entered vide Application Number, Transaction Id.
