PROTECT YOUR COMMUNITY'S HEALTH

Twelve million gallons of fuel are used every day in the United States by IDLING VEHICLES, which is equivalent to 18
Olympic sized swimming pools full of fuel or 387,000 barrels of foreign oil imports!
Leaving a modern car running for more than 10 seconds uses as much fuel as restarting and 2 minutes of idling a modern car
uses the same amount of fuel as driving 1 mile! Most modern engines only need 30 seconds to warm up in cold weather.
Hydrocarbons emitted by vehicles combine with Nitrogen and Oxygen in the air to become Ozone. Ozone causes coughing, wheezing,
shortness of breath and can cause permanent lung damage, especially in elders and children.
Save money and engine wear while decreasing air pollution and protecting your community's health:
Just turn it off!
