Monitoring System Display

(18) Warning indication area

The Monitor ECM will activate, display and log events for machine conditions that are not within
normal operating parameters. The Monitor ECM will detect some of these events, however, many of
these events are detected by the other control modules on the machine. The Monitor ECM receives
this event data from the other control modules via the CAN Data Link and will determine what the
warning response will be depending on the severity of the problem. The event warnings are
classified into three warning levels. The warning level determines what response is required by the
operator. Warning level 1 represents the least severe problem and warning level 3 represents the
most severe problem. The warning levels, monitor response, and the operator action required are
given below.
Warning Level 1 - Graphic Display - requires operator awareness

Warning Level 2 - Graphic Display and Action Indicator - requires a change in the operation of the
machine or a change in the maintenance of the machine in order to correct the condition

Warning Level 3 - Graphic Display, Action Indicator and Action Alarm - requires immediate
shutdown of the machine in order to prevent damage to the machine or personnel

When multiple warnings are present in the system, the highest level warning is shown first. Press the
up key (8) or press the down key (13) in order to view all of the warnings that are logged. If no keys
are pressed within five seconds, the display will return to the highest level warning. All the warning
display messages are listed in Illustrations 2, 3, and 4.

Note: All of the warnings that are listed may not be applicable to all machine models.
