After completion of Specialization Course, MAAG is providing 100% JET(Job Experience Training) to
the candidates who get 75% aggregate merit as well as 80% attendance for one year. At the time of ‘Jet’,
student gets a minimum stipend of Rs.5000/- per month which is the first taste of the ultimate Glory.
After Jet student will become a professionalist with practice and the candidate will be awarded by a
experience certificate after completion of JET.
Animation
The word animation is derived from a Latin word anima, meaning soul i.e. when life breathes into
characters. The art of animation started with the cavemen who used to draw pictures on the rocks
surfaces. Then who can forget Walt Disney for the creation of his cartoons especially the Mickey
Mouse! In the present sense it means linking the series of drawings and simulating their movements
together. It is a rapid display of 2D or 3D images to create an illusion of motion. It is an art form in
which inanimate objects are brought into life by sequencing the drawn images.
Animation is emerging a special form of media now days . Animation is growing into a multi - billion
dollar industry generating a great scope of employment for those who ready to try their skills into it.
From a simple flick book to the computer 3D animation of stories, animation involves a lot of hard work
and long hours of meticulous planning. This field being new to the Indian sector has a lot of hidden
potential and talent , which needs to be properly groomed and exploited according to the international
standards . There are many companies like Walt Disney , I Max and Sony who are ready to outsource
their cartoon characters and are ready to

Visual Effects
Visual effects(commonly shortened to Visual F/X or VFX) are the various processes by which imagery
is created and/or manipulated outside the context of a live action shoot . Visual effects often involve the
integration of live-action footage and computer generated imagery (CGI) in order to create environments
which look realistic, but would be dangerous, costly, or simply impossible to capture on film. They
have become increasingly common in big - budget films, and have also recently become accessible to
the amateur filmmaker with the introduction of affordable animation and compositing software,
groomed and exploited according to the internet ional standards. There are many companies like Walt

heavily in this sector in India.
Career in Gaming
India has emerged as a one-stop destination for game development with outsourced services constituting
80% of total market. The market for gaming development in India is expected to witness growth of 37%
p.a.and reach INR 14 million by 2012.Mobile gaming is likely to dominate the market with its share in
the total Indian gaming market expected to increase from 63 % in 2008 to 71 % by 2012.

generate $424 million by the 2010. There has been a US$ 14 million deal between Italy's Mondo TV,
Europe's No 2 cartoon producer and distributor, and India's Padmalaya Telefilms. This is expected to
boost India's creative reputation. NASSCOM has projected a creation of an additional 300,000 jobs in
this sector in next few years. Indian animation industry though a late starter is on the threshold of a
boom period and so has a great career potential. India has great mythological stories and characters,
good artists and technicians.

M-MAAG is the Film, Visual Effects and Animation Gaming traini programme is for students who are
interested in the digital manipulation and abstract representation of our visual reality. The aim of the
programme is to produce versatile digital artists with a unique complementary set of traditional and
digital filmmaking skills.
22. In the first year of the programme students will develop basics in Multimedia, study in Audio -Video
editing tools, 2D, 3D Animation skills and key film production as well as critical insight into and
practical understanding of the entire filmmaking process. Building upon these foundations, the second
year of the programme is designed to equip the students with an additional integrated set of industry
standard visual effects and digital animation skills. In a series of VFX related exercises students will
get the opportunity to light and shoot their own green screen footage as well as shoot live footage for
tracking and integration with CG elements. Students will also direct, shoot and analyse a series of acting
exercises, designed to inform their work as a 3D animator. Students will then get a final opportunity to
work together as a team, applying their skills towards the production of a collaborative short film that
incorporates both visual effects and animation sequences.
