Force Distribution during Acceleration

Driving Force/ Engine Force/ Thrust

 The force that pushes the car forward

 When a system expels or accelerates mass in one direction, the accelerated mass will cause a
force of equal magnitude but opposite direction on that system.

Air Resistance/ Drag Force

 Comes from air being pushed aside or flowing around surfaces such as the body of the car or
the wing of an aircraft.

Drag- the force that air exerts against the car as it moves.

Lift- perpendicular force exerted by the air on the car.

Friction

 Rolling contact between 2 surfaces, such as the wheel and the road.

Reaction force And Weight

 When an object rests on a surface such as the ground, its weight is balanced by the reaction
force from the ground. The ground pushes up against the object.
