    PRESS RELEASE To: _AllMedia Outlets From: Terry W. King This morning, | met with the Sheriff at his request at the Alpena County Courthouse. As a result of the meeting, it was clear to me that Sheriff Kieliszewski intended to terminate my employment based up my good-faith reporting of regulatory violations that | sought to have addressed. | was offered two options: resign or be terminated. So, after 22 years serving Alpena County through the Sheriffs Department, | have decided to resign as Undersheriff. | have taken great pride over the years in serving this community with honesty and integrity. | have come to believe that the Sheriff no longer shares those values with me. Moving forward, it is my hope that I will once again be able to serve the people of Alpena County, this time as Sheriff. | look forward to demonstrating to the voters of Alpena County that I am the best candidate for Sheriff in the 2020 election.
