A. Preparatory Activities
1. Warm –up Activity

a. What is sequence?
b. (The sequence is the order in which events takes place)
Is there any importance in understanding of events??Why?
(Yes, because understanding the sequence of events can help you know what is
happening and why it is happens)
3. UNLOCKING OF DIFFICULTIES
Pour- to make something that is liquid go from one thing into another
Kitchen- is a room where you make food (sink, stove refrigerator and a tale to eat)
Mix- to put different things together
Stir – to mix by moving a spoon or stick

Sift – act of sifting (to separate liquid to solid like coconutmilk)
Recipe- gives you a list of the things you need to make something to eat, and tells
you how to make it
Pile – is a lot of things on top of each other
B. Procedure
A. MOTIVATION (EPP, Science, Health)
a.Who loves to cook very much?
b.Do you know how to cook?
c.What do you usually cook?
d.Where do you cook it?
Say something about the pictures, refer LM, pp.36-THINK and TELL
B. Presentation (Science, AP,EPP,ESP)

Say: “Let us read the poem aloud.”
“COOKING IN THE KITCHEN”
When you’re cooking in the kitchen

You’re learning all the while—
To pour and measure, mix and stir
And sift flour into a pile
Wash your hands, before you start

Then gather up the gear---
Like pots, and pans and measuring cups
That use throughout the year
Go over the recipe, step-by-step

So you’ll know just what to do.
By carefully following the directions,
It won’t be hard for you.
Have a hot pad handy

And a grown-up standing by—
So you won’t hurt yourself
When using the above the stove or baking a pie
Besides the fun and learning,

There’s always cleaning up to do,
And even though it’s quite a chore,
It’s part of cooking, too.
But after all the work is done,

It will soon be time for dinner.
And when someone asks for seconds,
You’ll know you’ve cooked a winner!

Direction. Group the pupils into 3

Direction. Arrange the step in baking a cake. Number the sentence from 1-4.
Put the mixture in the oven. Mix all the ingredients

Let the cake cool
Put some icing or frosting on the cake.

Direction.Write A-E to sequence the events as they happened in the story “In a Minute”
__1.Mother told Juana to close the door of the room, Juana said, “ In a Minute”
__2.Mother asked Juana to get a glass of water, She said, “In a Minute, Mother.”
__3.Juana saw the feathers scattered all around the room.
__4.The cat entered the room and saw Juana’s pet parrot.
__5.Juana cried and cried. She no longer said “In a Minute”

Direction. Using laptop, Read the given menu of your favorite fried chicken. Use word signals- First, Then, After
and Finally Say something about a menu.

Direction. Number the sentence in the order a sandwich is made.

Independent Practice
What are the steps in cooking scrambled eggs? Complete the process by supplying the missing steps.
1. Break one or two eggs in a bowl and add a pinch of salt.
