school with the
help of the dedicated school personnel, cooperative parents, accountable
community and innovative learners.
The theme for this year activity is “MATATAG NA BAYAN PARA SA

PAARALAN’’ the activity happens one week ahead before the formal
opening of classes on June 03,2019 to April 03, 2020..
One of the motivations for Brigada Eskwela is knowing the fact that the
environment plays an enormous role in the student’s learning. The schools
and classrooms, as well as the facility that are not conducive to learners
hinder the quality of learning that they will be getting. So the initiative of the
DepEd to have a spirit of volunteerism, Bayanihan as we Filipinos call it to
clean up and repair the school and its facility before the opening of the class
is one of the best activities that Calasumanga National High school is proud
of every year.
Here’s The Highlight of Brigada Eskwela 2019 “MATATAG NA BAYAN PARA

SA PAARALAN’’
May 20, 2019 Brigada Eskwela Kick–Of
Believing that the school cannot stand

without the community, and likewise the community
without the school. The activity went well, and some
best practices were also observed.
The first day of brigade Eskwela turned out
beautiful because of the people in the community. The
parents were present with tools in their hands ready
for cleaning.The management of QUEZELCO II
were also deployed some of their Lineman to ensure
the safety of electrical wiring of the school.
Overall , the opening program was
successful. It turned to understand the real essence of Brigada Eskwela. It
turned out that the stakeholders and volunteers were able to understand
clearly the reason for Brigade Eskwela initiative, and it is nothing but for
good, and for the sake of the learners.
The second day of Brigada Eskwela focused on weeding of grounds
and clearing of rooms. The stakeholders and volunteers started arriving at
7:00 in the morning. They wrote their names on the attendance sheet and
log their time of arrival. They were aware that they had to write not only the
time – in but also the time-out. This is one of the ways that the registration
Committee members can monitor the volunteers. After the registration we
saw the spirit of volunteerism here and there. They were cleaning inside
and outside the classroom , and anywhere in the areas where dirt and dust
Plastic, and leaves. All of them are busy doing their own assignment.
Same goes with the remaining days. The 3 rd, 4th, and 5th day the
Parents, volunteers, teachers, and students were still eager on making the
campus cleaner and greener, and we are thankful that parents and
volunteers are still active. And still on full support for the beautification of the
school. Luckily indeed, Calasumanga National High School has a very
supportive community.
On May 25, 2019 before the brigade eskwela 2019 ends Sangguniang
Baranggay Together with the Baranggay Captain made an appearance and
made sure that they would also be part of said activity for the school. We
made a short closing program to formally thank the volunteers, parents and
stakeholders. Because without them the said activity would not be made
possible. Through the overwhelming support of the said people above the
school now is in excellent condition and is now ready for the school opening.

 Cleaning of rooms and surroundings
 Construction of Covered Pathway

 Improvement of school ground
 Improvement of Makeshift building
 Improvement of classroom.
Day 3
 Improvement of administration building
 Cleaning of drainage.
 Improvement of bulletin board
 Repainting of school
Day 4
 Construction of covered pathwalk/pathway.
 Repainting of classrooms.
 Improvement of bulletin board
 Construction of wash area (SHS)
Day 5
 Improvement of pathwalk.
 Baeutification of surrounding
 Improvement of classroom.

 Closing Program
 Awarding of certificate of recognition to stakeholders
