Statement of the Problem and the Hypotheses

The main purpose of this study was to investigate the effect

of time-pressured and non-time-pressured tests on the mathematics

performance of Grade 8 students at Mambusao National High School

for school year 2018-2019.

Specifically, this study sought to answer the following

questions:

1. What is the level of mathematics performance of Grade 8

students in the non-time-pressured test?

2. What is the level of mathematics performance of Grade 8

students in the time-pressured test?

3. Is there a significant difference in the mathematics

performance of Grade 8 students between non-time-pressured and

non-time pressured tests?

Based on the aforementioned problems, the following

hypothesis was tested:

1. There is no significant difference in the mathematics

performance of the Grade 8 students between non-time-pressured

and time-pressured tests.

Scale
To interpret the result, the scale below will arbitrarily used:
Scale Description
52.01-65.00 Very High
39.01-52.00 High
26.01-39.00. Average
