EXPLANATORY NOTE TO ADMISSION OFFER TO THE


POST GRADUATE PROGRAMME IN MANAGEMENT (PGPM) (2019-21)

1. This explanatory note provides the general administrative procedures required to be followed by
the candidates seeking admission to the PGPM. The candidates are required to strictly adhere to
these stipulations failing which the offer of admission would be revoked.

2. Remittance of Term I Fee & Deposit:

(a) Remittance of Rs.2,70,000/- (Rupees Two Lakh Seventy Thousand only), latest by 17th June
2019. Option for remittance of fee is open till 17th June 2019 (midnight), on our website.
The above amount will cover the remainder of the Term I fee plus Rs.50,000/- towards
Refundable Deposits and Mess Advance, after accounting the Wait List acceptance fee of
Rs.10,000/- already paid.

(b) Hence, by 17th June 2019, all the students will be remitting a total of Rs. 2,80,000/- towards
tuition fee, refundable deposits and mess advance for Term I.

Remittance Details:
Remittance has to be done through State Bank i-collect facility (under
www.onlinesbi.comState Bank Collect Tab in Home Page. After accepting the terms and

Persons having account in other banks can also pay the fees using Credit Card. Kindly take a
printout of the receipt generated (with unique reference number) for future reference, which needs
to be submitted at the time of Registration.

If the Term I Fee, Deposits and Advance mentioned under item No.2 are not remitted by the
stipulated date(s), we will assume that you have NOT accepted the offer of admission, and the
Admission offer made to you will stand cancelled.

3. Reporting and Registration:

You must report to the Admission Office at IIMT for registration on 22 June 2019 at 10.00 a.m. At
the time of registration, you are required to submit the following documents in original for
verification. The documents will be verified and returned to you. It is mandatory to submit the
photocopies of all the documents along with Application Form at the time of Registration,
failing which your admission will be on hold.

a) Application form duly filled along with self-attested copies of the relevant certificates / mark
sheets with 2 photographs (30 mm x 25 mm)
b) Certificate relating to work experience, wherever applicable.

The candidates, if working, should make appropriate arrangements to be relieved from the
organization and also organize the duly signed work experience letter in original, to be
submitted at the time of registration. The Institute neither favours a particular course of action
nor assumes any responsibility in future, in this regard.
c) Undertaking from candidates appearing for a final examination of graduation (Enclosure-I)
(See Sl.No.5 in the following page),
d) Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe Certificate, in the approved format issued by the competent
authority, if applicable.
e) A certificate of disability issued in accordance with the Persons with Disabilities Act, 1995, if
applicable.
f) Other Backward Classes (non-creamy layer) (NC-OBC) Certificate, if applicable
g) For EWS category, income and assets of the families would be required to be certified by an
officer not below the rank of Tehsildar in the State/UTs. (as per the criteria mentioned in O.M.
No. F. No. 12-4/2019-U1 issued by DoHE, Ministry of Human Resource Development read with
O.M.F.No.20013/01/2018-BC-II issued by Ministry of Social Justice & empowerment,
Government of India), if applicable. (Please refer it for more clarification)
h) CAT Score Card
i) Proof of remittance of OAA fee, Term I fee and Deposits.

This is to remind you that it is mandatory to submit the photocopies of all the documents along with
Application Form at the time of Registration, failing which your admission will be on hold.

If you fail to register on 22 June 2019, your admission to the Institute, will be cancelled. Please see items
5(a) and 5(b) for more details.

4. Withdrawal of admission acceptance:

As mentioned above, 22 June 2019 (being the Registration Day) is the date of registration for the PGPM.
Candidates who have accepted admission can withdraw the admission acceptance for PGPM for 2019-21
batch for IIM Tiruchirappalli on or before 22 June 2019.

Candidates withdrawing the acceptance are required to send communication in writing to reach the
Institute on or before 22 June 2019. Such candidates will be refunded the entire amount paid by them
after deducting Rs.1,000/- as processing charges. The registration is scheduled on 22 June 2019.
Therefore, request for withdrawal of offer received after 22 June 2019 will not be considered for refund
and the entire fee paid including OAA will be forfeited and no refund of any fee or OAA will be made.
Such candidates will be refunded only the Refundable Deposits.

5. Candidates Appearing for Final Examination of Graduation:

If you are appearing/have appeared for final examination of graduation and are yet to be awarded the
Bachelor’s Degree, this offer of admission is provisional and subject to the following:

a) At the time of your registration, you must produce a certificate in original from the
College/University that you have completed all examinations and other requirements
necessary to enable you to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree by 22 June 2019. All examinations and
other requirements for graduation must be completed by 22 June 2019.

b) You must produce final mark sheets (in original) in proof of having passed the Bachelor’s
Degree examination with requisite percentage/class, before the expiry of grace period, that is,
on or before 30th September 2019.

Failure to comply with provisions of 5 (a) and 5 (b) will automatically result in cancellation of the
Provisional Admissions offer to the Programme made to you. These provisions cannot be relaxed and the
Institute will not entertain any correspondence/request in this regard.

6. Fee Structure & Schedule of Payments:

Note:
a. Total Fees (tuition, course material, etc.) for the second year will be Rs.7,00,000/- and will
follow a similar schedule. Mess Advance is also payable in each term. This fee may be
subject to change depending on the decision of the Institute.
b. The fees for the first-year indicated above, exclude Service Tax and any other tax. Such
taxes, if made applicable by law, will be collected from students at the prescribed rates.
c. All students will be required to open a bank account with State Bank of India at the IIM-
Tiruchirappalli Branch.
d. On the day of Registration, many banks will put up their stalls for education loan facility.
You are welcome to avail the facility, if needed. Decision for sanctioning of education loan is
purely on the discretion of the Banks. IIM Tiruchirappalli has no role in this.

7. Accommodation:

You will be provided a hostel room on single occupancy basis. Rooms will have provision for air
conditioning, and essential furniture such as cot, table, chair and wardrobe. Please arrange for your own
mattresses, pillows, bed-sheets, blankets, curtains, mosquito net, etc.

Kindly note that family accommodation cannot be provided on the campus.

8. Student Discipline:

Use of motorized vehicles by students inside the campus for intra-campus commuting is prohibited.
Students are expected to maintain discipline, decorum and appropriate standards of behavior in their
academic work. They are also expected to maintain good interpersonal relations among themselves, and
are bound by the rules laid down by the Institute from time to time. Students violating these rules are
liable for disciplinary action, including expulsion. In case of expulsion due to disciplinary reason, no
refund of fees would be made either in part or in full.

9. Orientation Programme:

An Orientation Programme will be held from 25th to 30th June 2019. All students must compulsorily
attend all the sessions in the Orientation Programme. Regular classes will commence from 1st July 2019.

10. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information provided to the Institute in your application
form and all other documents. The consequences of incorrect information may include cancellation of the
admission offer/admission.

11. All disputes and differences arising out of or in connection with this Offer of Admission shall be
settled within Tiruchirappalli City Jurisdiction.
