3G Project – (Guwahati) 6601 Node-B Software & Cables Required CABLES: - Emely Cable (dig. on left) - LAN Cable SOFTWARE: - Total Commander - File Zilla - RBS Element Manager - Basic CV (CXP9014349%2_R2D01) (File Size – 203MB) Step-1 • Connect all 4nos E1 in C,D ports of Junction Box. • Connect Emely cable to Test Port in CBU • Connect LAN cable to Ethernet (E) Port in Junction Box. • Set Laptop IP: (IP-169.254.1.2, SUBNET-255.255.255.0, GATEWAY-169.254.1.1) Step-2 • Connect to HyperTerminal (select COM1 or appropriate COM port, Restore defaults) and then type subsequent commands: - $ reload -- - $ formathd /d - $ formathd /c2 - Then check if all C2 & D drives have become 0% - $ vols (/d=0%, /c2=0%) - $ reload - $ ifconfig le0 169.254.1.1 netmask 255.255.255.0 Step-3 Then open Total Commander (FTP) - Select NET – FTP connect, new connection, session=rbs, hostname=169.254.1.1, username=rbs - Select the folder containing the Basic CV in laptop and then press ctrl and drag both c2 and D folder to the remote client. // Total time for file transfer takes 300 – 330secs // - After successful file transfer check in hyper terminal by command $ vols (values will be /d=18%, /c2=23%) Step-4 • $ reload // Wait till login server ready message appear in hyperterminal - It takes 90 sec // Then press enter Username=rbs Password=rbs $ setclock 2011-06-29 16:54:00 //set the current date// Step-5 • Connect RBS EM – set IP=169.254.1.1 • Select TOOL – Cabinet Equipment Configuration Go on typing: NEXT – NEXT – NEXT (here select sector 1,2,3) – NEXT (here select ETM position, slot pos=2, ETM Type=ETMFX11) – NEXT – NEXT – FINISH – YES // It takes 60 sec for Login Server ready mesg to appear in hyperterminal then again login to RBS EM // Step-6 • Connect RBS EM – set IP=169.254.1.1 • Select TOOL – O & M Access Configuration • Type – NEXT Click Tick mark on Use Configuration file – browse and select O&M script. Type- NEXT-NEXT-NEXT-NEXT-NEXT (here set time) Time=17:04:23//current time//, Day=29, Month=06, Year=2011, Local Time Zone= IST . Then Type- NEXT-FINISH-OK //Here after 10-15secs the lan will get disconnected and we need to change the laptop IP as per O&M IP, then again it will get reconnected and Configuration Complete message will appear// // Also after this step the ETMFX card operation light will become constant // Step-7 • Connect RBS EM – set IP=10.142.230.1 //O&M ip// • Select TOOL – Site Equipment Configuration Type – NEXT Click Tick mark on Use Configuration file – browse and select external.hw.xml script. Type-OK-NEXT-NEXT Click Tick mark – configure external alarm control unit Type-NEXT-NEXT-till page-13 NEXT-FINISH-OK Step-8 Now we need to create CV so that if required we can reload from this step. • Click Software in RBS EM – select CV • Name=CV_SiteEquip • Rollback list=Add to List • Click on Apply • OK Step-9 • RBS EM - Select TOOL – Run Command File Click on: Halt on errors – verbose logging Browse & select – Iub_EN script and EXECUTE //Configuration Succeeded mesg will appear at last// Step-10 Now we need to create CV so that if required we can reload from this step. • Click Software in RBS EM – select CV • Name=CV_IUB • Rollback list=1 • Click on Apply • OK Step-11 Now we will install License in the Node-B: >Open File Zilla software – Host=10.142.230.1, username=rbs,passwd=rbs, port=21, quickconnect >Select the folder containing license in Local site and then drag the license to c: drive- license in Remote site. > Now open RBS EM-Licensing-MO properties-Actions- updatelicensekeyfile – userid=rbs,passwd=rbs,ipaddress=10.142.230.1,sfile=/c/ license/x912.xml, EXECUTE. > Then check in features- as per license required details will be appearing ENABLED & ACTIVATED //if any featurestate is DEACTIVATED , then right click and select MO properties and activate it// Step-12 Now we need to create final CV so that if required we can reload from this step. • Click Software in RBS EM – select CV • Name=CV_License • Rollback list=1 • Click on Apply • Set Startable • OK SITE READY, MAKE 3G CALL • Check for alarms in alarm list • Check if site has been properly defined in MSS by mgaap:area=all; //to define= MGAAI:AREA=<CELL_NAME>,SAI=<MCC-MNC-LAC- SAC>;// • Check Video call, Packet call.
