1.0 Overview
The Cisco Unified Intelligence Center (CUIC) 11.0(1) Virtual Server template
(OVA) defines the virtual machine (VM) configurations that are supported in
the CUIC 11.0(1) release. This OVA contains all supported virtual machine
configurations of this CUIC release. Any fresh install of CUIC 11.0(1) must
use a virtual machine created from this OVA.
2.0 Scope
The CUIC template is an Open Virtual Archive (OVA) file that you can
import/deploy using the Open Virtualization Format (OVF) support of VMWare.

The following are changes from the OVA in the previous release:
1) Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) version supported is 6(64-bit).
2) Network Adapter type supported is VMXNET3.
3) Memory (RAM) supported is 10GB.
4) Video Card Memory supported is 8MB.
4.0 Instructions
1. If you have not already done so, download the OVA file from the Unified
Communications Intelligence Center 11.0(1) software download area.
2. Login to ESXi using Vsphere or any other compatible client.
3. Highlight the host or cluster to which you want to deploy the Virtual
Machine and Select "File > Deploy OVF Template...” A Deploy OVF Template
dialog appears.
4. Select "Deploy From File" and enter the location of the OVA file on your
local system, or select "Deploy From URL" and enter the URL for the Internet
location of the file.
5. On the next several dialogs, provide the requested information such as VM
name, deployment location, host/cluster, and datastore. A Ready to Complete
dialog appears.
6. Verify that you have specified the correct deployment settings and click
Finish.
Edit the Virtual Machine to prepare for operating system installation using
vSphere Client:
7. Right click on the virtual machine that you want to edit and select "Edit
Settings". A Virtual Machine Properties dialog appears.
8. On the Hardware tab, select "CD/DVD Drive 1". Under Device Type, select
"Datastore ISO File" and enter the location of the operating system ISO.
9. Click OK to save the changes to the settings.
10. Power up your VM and continue with operating system installation.
