Instructions for Use

Step 1: Self-Assessment
Conduct a self assessment of skills. Determine your proficency for each skill per the chart key (red, orange, yellow, or green). Highlight and
fill each cell coresponding to a skill with the color appropriate to your self determined proficiency. Leave the last section (Qualifications)
gray.

Step 2: Individual Training ("Ground School")

To learn about a skill, click on the name of the skill to get a link to provided training material. Read/watch provided material to improve
baseline knowledge in that area and prepare for further instruction.

Step 3: Validate Self-Assessment

Qualified instructor pilots can validate a self assessment. After flying and personally witnessing the demonstration of a skillset, a qualified
instructor pilot can re-assign a color code to a skillset, and the enter the current date in the cell.

Step 4: Qualifications
Qualified instructor pilots can qualify any pilot on any qualification they currently hold. This is done by flying with the aspiring pilot and
conducting an assessment of the skills required for said qualification. If the aspiring pilot demonstrates the proficency in the required
skillsets for that qualification, the instructor pilot will date the coresponding cell and highlight it white. Qualification performance
requirements can be found in the squadron's google drive and the name of the qualification on the spreadsheet is a link to the checklist.

Step 5: Squadron Training Management

Squadron Core Skills are marked on the left by an X. These represent high priority skillsets which should be trained on before moving on to
other skills. The desired number of pilots to hold a qualification is found to the left of the title of the qualification. The color of the cell in
column A represents a squadron readiness assessment for that indicated skill or qualification. It is based on the average skills of all active
pilots in the squadron.
