These exercises are an example of exercises that can be performed post-operatively after humerus fracture.
Consult with your physiotherapist or doctor to make sure you comply with your restrictions during training. The
exercises should be performed daily, preferably up to 2-3 times. Some pain can be expected during and up to 30
minutes after exercise. When pain persists longer than 30 minutes it is recommended to execute with lower
intensity the next time.

1. Table clench
Sit at a table, supporting both your forearm and palm on
it. Bend all your fingers so that your hand becomes
clenched and then stretch all your fingers out again.
Reps: 20 , Sets: 3

2. Assisted elbow bend
Allow your arm to hang relaxed by your side. Use your
other hand to assist in raising your elbow to a bend and
stretch position.
Reps: 10 , Sets: 3

3. Forward-leaning circular arm movements
Allow your body to lean forward, supporting yourself with
one hand on a chair or table. Allow one arm to relax and
hang down. Move the arm slowly, making small circlular
movements in the air.

4. Lying circle movements
Lie supine on a mat with your knees bent. Stretch your
active arm straight out so that it points up toward the
ceiling. Make small circles in the air.
Reps: 5-10 , Sets: 3

5. Forward leaned back-and-forth arm bend
Lean forward, supported with one hand on the back of a
chair or on a table. Let the other arm hang down relaxed.
Move your arm back and forth.
Reps: 10 , Sets: 3
