Why Disturbance Recording?

 Disturbances in the power system are unavoidable and


there might be imperfections in the secondary system.
 We need some instrument to be able to analyze the
course of events during disturbances i.e.:
 an observer who:
 record analog and binary signals
 logs events
 calculates current and voltages
 calculates fault location

 a viewer and analysis tool which:


 presents the recorded information
 possibility to do further and deeper analysis

 96 binary channels (6 function blocks x 16 signals)
