109: RESISTORS IN SERIES AND PARALLEL

Esteves, Ralph Gerald D.
PHYS101L-A70
Mechanical Engineering-1

Introduction
The experiment 109 is about the resistors in series and parallel. The resistor is the thing that
limits the flow of the charge inside the circuit you have created. If we are to measure these
resistors, we can get the resistance of the circuit. For resistors that are in series we can say
that there is a resistor if the current of the circuit is flowing from the devices sequentially.
And for parallel we can see that each resistor is directly connected to the voltage source by
connecting wires having unimportant or close to zero resistance. In this experiment the
group was asked to measure or see the current that is flowing is the resistors connected in
the series while the group where to measure the voltage in the resistors that is connected in
a parallel. And for the group apply the Ohm’s law in the series and parallel of connections of
the resistors

Results and Discussion

The group first did the setup required for the experiment to be performed. In doing the
experiment since the group has little to no knowledge about this experiment, they tried to
follow the stated instruction in the lab manual. Most of the trials of the group per part was
did like a trial an error. The group did this by doing different set-ups that fit the given
instruction. What gives the percent error in this experiment is the inside resistance of the
batteries and how the group would read the voltage inside the series or parallel circuits.

Conclusion
Overall the group performed the experiment well as they have found or measured the
current that is flowing in the resistors connected in the series and to measure the voltage
across the series while connected in parallel. And for the group apply the Ohm’s law in the
series and parallel of connections of the resistors
