OPERATING PROCEDURE OF RO PLANT

START UP:
1. ON the Main Switch.
2. Open the raw water pump inlet valve.
3. Keep the MPV of sand filter in back wash position .
4. Switch ON the raw water pump and keep for about 10 minutes till the back wash outlet water is
clear.
5. STOP the raw water pump.
6. Keep the MPV of Sand filter in Rinse position.
7. START the raw water pump and keep for about 5 minutes till the rinse outlet water is clear.
8. STOP the raw water pump.
9. Keep the MPV of sand filter in Filter position.
10. Keep the MPV of carbon filter in Back wash position.
11. START the raw water pump and keep for about 10 minutes till the back wash water is clear.
12. STOP the raw water pump.
13. Keep the MPV of carbon filter in Rinse position.
14. START the raw water pump and keep for about 5 minutes till the rinse outlet water is clear.
15. STOP the raw water pump.
16. Keep the MPV of carbon filter in Filter position.
17. Check the reject valve (to be open).
18. Start the Raw water pump.
19. Start the chemical dosing pump.
20. If the water flow appears in reject flow meters, SWITCH ON the HP pump.
21. Slowly throttle the reject valve until the product flow reaches 2000 lph.
22. Check the Inlet and outlet pressures to be blow the marked level i.e below 9 kg/cm2.
23. The reject water level should be more than 2000 lph.
24. Check the TDS of Filter water. It should be less than 50 ppm.

SHUD DOWN:
1. Slowly open the reject valve.
2. STOP the HP pump
3. STOP the raw water pump.
4. Keep the Sand filter and carbon filter MPV’s in back wash position.
5. Close the raw water pump inlet valve

PERIODICAL MAINTENANCE:
1. Daily back wash the sand filter and carbon filter.
2. Weekly open the micron filter and replace if it turns in to black colour.
3. Refill the dosing tank with the product water and add 100 ml of anti-scalent chemical when ever the
level in the dosing tank comes to bottom strainer level.
