ELECTION OF CLASSROOM PTA OFFICERS

Mrs. Aileen R. Abella, the HPTA elected President of SPA 10-1 presided in the
2nd part of the meeting. With the help of the Class Adviser, the group
identified urgent needs for the improvement of the classroom as well as ways
to eradicate problems that may arise in the future concerning the academic
performance of the students.
Election of SPA 10-1 PTA Homeroom Officers was held in order for the adviser to have a
counterpart in the implementation of the different projects that will benefit the students. Parents
were very active enough to take the challenge and responsibility in the implementation of the
different planned program and projects that will be of great help to the SPA 10-1 students.

13 parents from the SPA 10-1 BENCAB took part in the 1st Homeroom PTA Meeting organized by the School
and the SPA Program last June 17, 2019 at Bldg. B.
AGENDA:
• 1. School Rules and Regulations
• 2. Class Schedule
• 3. Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao 10 Learning Competencies
• 4. Election of PTA Officers and different classroom projects
• 5. On-going Donations for the school
Headed by the Class Adviser, Sir Ian Santos B. Salinas the group talked about the importance of the K-12
Curriculum and its Grading System particularly in Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao 10 which is being taught by the Class
Adviser. Different classroom projects to be implemented within the academic year were also tackled such as the
additional electric fans for proper classroom ventilation, students’ lockers, classroom paint, room curtains and water
container instead of water dispenser which can cause additional electric consumption for the school. Parents who are
present headed by the newly elected HPTA President unanimously agreed to form a group messenger in order to
update the parents who are not able to come because of different grave reasons about the different projects tackled.
Parents have agreed to donate certain amount that is agreed upon by all of the parents to buy the urgent needs of the
students such as the room curtain. Other Projects will soon materialize after the Parents gather enough financial and
material donations from other external stakeholders. Volunteer Parents also agreed to fix some of the electric fans
that is not functioning for free.
It was also discussed by the Class Adviser all the specific rules and regulations stated at the back of the
enrolment form in order for the parents and students to be aware and be reminded of the “do’s” and “don’ts’s” in
OCNHS. Likewise, Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao 10 Learning Competencies (Mga Kasanayang Pampagkatuto) were also
discussed in order for the parents to grasp the different learning competencies that their children will learn during the
1st Grading Period in Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao 10. The Meeting was followed by the election of HPTA Officers.

Truly I can say that the commitment and small contribution of those who participated will make a difference
in the life of our future leaders – the students of Olongapo City National High School.
