Electronic gadgets are not allowed inside the VAC.
 
Kindly Refer Security Regulations on our Website: Due to security reasons the following items will not be
permitted inside the Application Centre or stored in the premises with effect from 5th of February 2007.

All battery operated or electronic gadgets such as cameras, audio/video cassettes, compact discs, MP3's, floppies,
laptops, or portable music players.
 
All bags such as travel bags, back packs, briefcases, suitcases, leather, jute or cloth bags and zip folders. Only a
plastic bag containing your application related papers would be permitted.
 
 1.     Sealed envelopes or packages.
 
 2.     Any inflammable item such as matchboxes/ lighters/ fuel etc.
 
 3.     Any sharp objects such as scissors, pen knives or nail filers.
 
 4.     Weapon or weapon like objects or explosive material of any kind.
 
The list provided above is not finite. Other items may be prohibited based on security staff discretion.

SMS Service
 
VFS Global is pleased to be able to offer an SMS service which updates customers in India on the progress of their
visa applications. The easy to use SMS service sends an automated message to the applicant's mobile phone at
various stages of the visa application process. This is followed up with an automated email message to the

applicants email informing them of the status of their visa application. The SMS text is available in English. This
service can be purchased for an additional fee per Passport (inclusive of Service tax). at the time a customer

Premium Service Lounge
 
Separate lounge with personalized service by dedicated staff, refreshments, faster submission at the VAC and
inclusive of courier and photocopying as complimentary services. Premium Lounge facility costs Rs.1255-
(inclusive of taxes) per applicant. The Lounge fees are in addition to the visa application fee and VFS service

Important notes:
 
1.       Your visa application will be processed and decided upon by the Embassy’s/Consulates. Use of the Premium
Service Lounge does not affect the processing time of your application. All applicants will be required to follow
the instructions on applying for a visa, which can be found on the ‘Home Page’ on our website: http://www.vfs-

2.       Please check the website for latest information on Prime Time service as it is a seasonal service and offered
during the peak season (March-June/April-June) normally.
 
3.       Please note appointment timing is given for you to report at the application centre. Applicants will be issued
with a token number at the Application Centre and will be entertained as per the token number assigned. It may
take more time depending on the number of applications submitted at the counter by an individual.

Parking Information:
 
Please note, parking facilities are not provided for applicant’s/visitor’s vehicles in the building compound of the
VFS Global Visa Application Centre located in Bangalore, at Global Tech Park. We advise applicants/visitors to
make transportation arrangements accordingly.

Valet services are provided outside the building gate by TESKA Technologies Private Limited (SKA). You may avail

Tourist Visa Application Arrangement
a) Has been issued within the previous 10 years, and the validity must not exceed 10 years.
b) No handwritten passports will be accepted. Passports with any manual observations will not be
accepted

c) At least has a validity of 3 months after intended stay.

Confirmed hotel reservation covering travel dates. If the applicant is travelling to any other Schengen
countries also apart from Italy, then hotel booking for the same is required.
Travel Itinerary / In case of sponsor: Original Invitation letter from Italy (Lettera d’invito) accompanied by a copy of
Complete stay identification: Identity card for Italian Sponsor. Passport, Identity card and permit of stay for foreigner
details resident in Italy.
In case of Enit groups: Covering letter from Tour operator as per Enit format with list of passengers
booked for a particular package tour with details of Name, Date of Birth and Passport No.
In case of Minor travelling with any one parent or with a third party: Affidavit from the parent/s stating that
he/she has no objection to the travel of the minor. The affidavit has to be notarized and legalized by the
competent Home Department of the State of Residence. The parent/s resident in Italy can make a similar
self-declaration with a copy of his/her stay permit and passport.
For Minors
Travelling An alternative option to the above process, parents of the minor can sign a Consent form at the VFS Visa
Application Centre along with a copy of their passports (any govt. photo id with signature). Presence of the
parents and minor is mandatory.
In case of Minor traveling with both the parents: Affidavit of consent is not required, provided that the names
of both parents appear on the said minor's passport.
Salary slips (in case employed): last 3 months.

Overseas medical Covering travel period with coverage of Euros 30000 inclusive of a repatriation clause. Minimum 10 days
insurance insurance is mandatory from the travel date.

Proof of all internal travel within the Schengen territory including train bookings, car rentals.
