    ACTIVITY 2: LET’S MARK THE BOUNDARIES

    OBJECTIVEs:

    1. Describe the distribution of active volcanoes, earthquake epicentres and major mountain
    belts
    2. Determine the scientific basis for dividing the Lithospheric plates

    MATERIALS

    Map of earthquake distribution


    Map of active volcanoes of the world
    Mountain ranges of the world
    2 pcs plastic sheets (plastic cover)
    2 colored markers
    PROCEDURE

    1. Trace the location of the earthquake epicenters on a plastic sheet using a marking pen
    2. On the other plastic sheet, trace the locations of the volcanoes using the other marking
    pen
    3. Place the earthquake plastic sheet on the top of the volcano plastic sheet
    4. Place the two plastic sheets on the top of the map of mountain ranges
