    □ Speed reduced in ample time
    □ Direction/strength of wind, current.
    □ Need for adequate sea room particularly to seaward.

    2. Have the following been informed of the time of “Stand-By” for anchoring?
    □ Master.
    □ Chief Engineer.
    □ Anchor Party.

    3. Is the following equipment ready for use?


    □ Anchors lashing removed and ready for use.
    □ Lights/Shapes and sound signaling appliance.

    4. Have instructions been issued to the officer of the watch/engine room on the
    following matters
    □ Has an anchor watch been established
    □ Notice for main engine keeping in view weather condition.
    □ Determining and regular checking of anchor position.
    □ Monitor closely vessel's position when swinging to the tide
