Upon arriving at the reported location, police witnessed a group gathered around betting on two fighting cocks. The group fled as police identified themselves. Police confiscated 29 fighting cocks and arrested one man, Carlos Francisco Galon. An investigation revealed the cockfight was organized by Boy Piadoche, identified as Ricardo Piadoche, and Loloy Adelante, identified as Elezer Adelante. Both organizers fled the scene. A case is being prepared against the organizers and additional bettors that were identified.

    Illegal Cockfighting: At around 08:30, March 30, 2018, this station received a report from a

    concerned citizen that an illegal cockfighting currently transpired at the remote area of Purok 4,
    Brgy. Dulop, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur. Immediately upon receipt of said report, PNP
    elements of this station led by PO2 Dany Pisecal Majorenos, under the supervision of PCI
    ANDREW TUCLUS LIMOD, Officer-in-Charge proceeded to the reported place to verify the
    veracity of said report and conduct arrest on the person involved. Thereat, the responding
    team explicitly saw a group of people who gathered around at the vicinity of the residence of a
    certain “Bobby” together with several fighting cocks. They were shouting and exclaiming for
    their bet while the two (2) cocks are fighting. Therewith, the responding team suddenly
    appeared and identified themselves as police officers of Dumingag MPS. Not long before the
    police officers identified themselves, the group who gathered at the vicinity immediately ran
    and respectively headed to unknown direction. Thereat, the responding police officers
    successfully confiscated 29 heads of fighting cocks and held one (1) male personality identified
    as “Bobby” who in his real name identified as Carlos Francisco Galon, 53 years of age, married
    and resident of the said place. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the said illegal
    cockfighting started at around 08:00 AM of this date (March 30, 2018). Therewith, the above-
    named person was one (1) of the organizers of said illegal cockfighting together with a certain
    Boy Piadoche and Loloy Adelante, whom both successfully evade the arrest and headed to
    unknown direction. The arrested person together with the confiscated fighting cocks was
    immediately brought to this office for proper disposition of the case.

    ADDENDUM; In reference to the preceeding blotter entry number


    ____________, Intensive investigation conducted by this office as revealed
    Carlos Francisco Galon that it was Boy Piadoche who identified in his real
    name as Ricardo Piadoche and Loloy Adelante who was also identified in
    his real name as Elezer Adelante are the very responsible person who
    organized for the said activity. Hence, the latter named personalities gained
    income thru the said cockfight, it was Elezer Adelante who acted as the
    “Masyador” in the cockfight while Ricardo Piadoche was the “Coyme” in
    every fight or “sultada”. That prior to the said date of event, the above-
    named personalities are the one’s who invited bettor’s and fighting cocks
    raiser’s on the nearby barangay to joined and made entry for the said
    cockfight. Furthemore, among the bettor’s herein are positively identified
    namely: Tata Ajeto, Niño Veloso, Elmer Maglacion, Balong Bambao, Minoy
    Cansellar, both residents of Brgy. Dulop, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur. A
    case for violation of PD 449 is now being preparedagainst the at-large
    identified suspects.
