Bethany D. Destajo has always been a student of good moral. She started her
kindergarten studies in Pope John Paul II Achievement and Learning Center, and
received the Most Behaved Award. She then transferred to St. Joseph’s Academy from
her preparatory year and remained until she reached her 10 th grade. Within those spans
of years, she has achieved many. In 2nd grade, she was one of the chosen few to
represent her school in a dance presentation in occasion to United Nations Celebration
at SM City Cebu. She was the class secretary from grades 1, 2, and 3. She was often
part of the top ten out of her class, consisting of approximately 48 students, her highest
rank being top 4. This lasted throughout her preparatory and elementary years. During
5th grade, she also received 3rd place in one of the contests of her school’s e-learning
programs called “Nutri-blog contest”, wherein students with the best blog addressing
how to maintain a healthy lifestyle wins. She was the only 5 th grader to receive an
award, since the 1st and 2nd placers were grade 6 students.

She did not only excel in academics, but also in extra-curricular activities. She
was also a member of the dance club and math club. She has also participated in the
elimination round of Mathematics Teachers’ Association Philippines in 3 rd grade.

In her junior high school years, her achievements did not stop from grade 6.
She continued soaring, starting with gaining the position of class treasurer in 7th grade.
She also received 2 certificates from the Center of Educational Measurement, for
having one of the highest rankings in 2 subjects: English and Science. In 8 th grade, she
became the dance leader for the field demonstration for Intramurals. In the 9th grade,
she participated the Math Trainers Guild, was qualified, and took trainings in Sacred
Heart School – Ateneo de Cebu. She also became part of the participants to
Mathsayaw contest, competing against public schools in Mandaue City. In the 10th
grade, she then participated in the Dance Palabas along with her batchmates during the
school’s Intramurals event.

She then studied in Cebu Doctors’ University for her Senior High School
studies. She took the Humanities and Social Sciences strand. She is now currently in
Saint Louis College – Cebu as a repeater grade 11 student, still taking up the
Humanities and Social Sciences strand. She is part of the Performance Arts Club. She
participated in one of the major contests in the school’s Intramurals event, the
Jumpstreet contest. She is now currently a student-worker. She is currently, along with
her studies, working part-time as a chat supporter in Alliance in Motion, in hopes to
attain a scholarship from the company.
