1 Introduction
StarTrack is intended for routine quality assurance of photon and electron Intended Use
beam radiation.

1.3.1 Arrays
Two arrays are located along the main central axes and two along the main Arrays
diagonals. Additional arrays are located at ±5 and ±10 cm parallel to one of
the main axis, and are intended for measurements of the relative position
of the leaves of the multi leaf collimator, when located at 0, ±5, and
±10 cm.
Additional single chambers are dedicated to the measurement of beam
energy, and are located in the eight areas formed by the main axis and
diagonals.
The charge released in the active volume of the chambers is separated by Chambers
means of an electrical field between the bottom and top electrodes. The and data
transmission
collected current, which is proportional to the dose rate, is measured and
digitized, by an individual electrometer for each chamber.
The measured data is transmitted to a PC via a standard Ethernet interface,
available on most PCs.
The StarTrack is equipped with sensors that measure the ambient Temperature
temperature and pressure. and pressure
sensors
The temperature probe is circuit based on a high-purity platinum based
sensor, the Pt1000 sensor. The temperature resolution of the probe is
roughly 0.25 degrees, and the accuracy in the range 0-50 degrees is roughly
+/-0.1 degree.
The pressure probe is circuit based on a silicon pressure sensor, series
MPXH6250A. The sensor ensures a max 1.5% error from 0 to 85 degrees
of ambient temperature. The output voltage of the pressure probe is
digitized by the same ADC of the temperature probe, and has a resolution
of 0.05 kPa/digit.
The StarTrack is calibrated for uniformity, at the production site. The Uniformity

NOTE These guidelines may not apply in all situations. Electromagnetic
2 propagation is affected by absorption and reflection from structures, objects
and people.
Field strengths from fixed transmitters, such as base stations for radio (cellular or
cordless) telephones and land mobile radios, amateur radio, AM and FM radio broad-
cast and TV broadcast cannot be predicted theoretically with accuracy. To assess the
electromagnetic environment due to fixed RF transmitters, an electromagnetic site
survey should be considered. If the measured field strength in the location in which the
StarTrack is used exceeds the applicable RF compliance level above, the StarTrack
should be observed to verify normal operation. If abnormal performance is observed,
additional measures may be necessary, such as reorienting or relocating the StarTrack.
In the frequency range 150 kHz to 80 MHz, field strengths should be less than 3 V/m.
For transmitters rated at a maximum output power not listed above, the recommended
separation distance d in meters (m) can be estimated using the equation applicable to the
frequency of the transmitter, where P is the maximum output power rating of the
transmitter in watts (W) according to the transmitter manufacturer.
NOTE At 80 MHz and 800 MHz, the separation distance for the higher frequency
1 range applies.

TCP/IP and
IP addresses
5.4.1 TCP/IP and IP addresses
5.4.1.1 TCP
The Transmission Control Protocol is a virtual circuit protocol that is used TCP
to create connections between hosts on a network. The protocol
guarantees reliable and in-order delivery of data from sender to receiver.
5.4.1.2 IP address
Subnet mask is a mask used to determine what subnet an IP address Subnet mask
belongs to. An IP address has two components, the network address and
the host address.
Normally the subnet mask is 255.255.0.0 (Class B) or 255.255.255.0
(Class C) for company networks.
IP Address 150.215.017.009
All the systems on the same subnet must use the same subnet mask in
order to communicate with each other directly. Otherwise a gateway has to
be used.
5.4.1.4 Ethernet
Ethernet refers to the family of local-area network (LAN) products covered Ethernet
by the IEEE 802.3 standard that defines what is commonly known as the
CSMA/CD protocol. Three data rates are currently defined for operation
over optical fiber and twisted-pair cables:
10 Mbps 10Base-T Ethernet
100 Mbps Fast Ethernet
1000 Mbps Gigabit Ethernet
