INTRODUCTION
1.1 ABSTRACT OF THE PROJECT

During the past several decades personnel function has been transformed from a
Relatively obscure record keeping staff to central and top level management function. There are
many factors that have influenced this transformation like technological advances,
professionalism, and general recognition of human beings as most important resources.
A computer based management system is designed to handle all the primary information
required to calculate monthly statements. Separate database is
maintained to handle all the details required for the correct statement calculation and
generation.

This project intends to introduce more user friendliness in the various activities such as
record updating, maintenance, and searching.

The searching of record has been made quite simple as all the details of the customer can be
obtained by simply keying in the identification of that customer.

Similarly, record maintenance and updating can also be accomplished by using the
identification of the customer with all the details being automatically generated. These details are
also being promptly automatically updated in the master file thus keeping the record absolutely
up-to-date.

The entire information has maintained in the database or Files and whoever wants to retrieve
can’t retrieve, only authorization user can retrieve the necessary information which can be easily
be accessible from the file.
1.2 TITLE OF THE PROJECT

Integrated Software for hotel management is a system based application. It can be used
manage all the operation perform by the Hotel. This can be used by either the technical or
non-technical person.

In the Project initiation phase, the development team prepares the project plan and finalizes the
outcome of each phase.
-In the Project execution phase, the team develops the product .In the case of the hotel
application development team; they will develop the offline hotel application.
• In the Project consists of following Modules around which it will be operates.
• The Welcome Page
• The Home Page
• The Registration Page for Room allocation.
• The Registration Page for Room de allocation.
• The Registration Page for Room cancellation.
• The Restaurant page.
• The Show customer detail page.
• The Billing page.
1.3 OBJECTIVE

Welcome Page:-
The Welcome page is the first page to be displayed to the viewers. The page will display a
welcome message, and, it will display the number of viewers who have visited the site.

The home page:-

The home page provides viewer the option available for operation needed for reception
maintenance and working for customer management.

The Registration page for room allocation:-

The Registration page enables the person to allocate room to the customer or the guest which
wants to stay in hotel.

The Registration page for room de allocation:-

The Registration page enable the person to delete all information about the guest which wants to
leave the room and refresh the room for next customer or guest.

The Registration page for room cancellation:-

The Registration page enable the person to cancel the room for the guest which have not
appeared for the room or don’t want to stay in the room.

The Restaurant page:-

The restaurant page enables the person or guest the food ordering service.

The customer detail page:-

The customer detail page enable the manger to view the profile or information about the person
or guest staying in the room.

The Billing page:-

The billing page gives final amount of service which the hotel have given to the guest and it adds
the restaurant bill also.

1.4 PROBLEM SPECIFICATION/NEED OF THE PROJECT

The Project is an application for maintaining a guest and all the service which hotel provides.
The System provides the access to the manger to allocate, de allocate, show detail and restaurant
facilities.

We are mainly concerned with developing a hotel management system where a manager his/her
can do or run hotel without any problem and safe and sound.

Need for this kind of Service

The main objective of the project is to device such effective method for the manger or the person
which manages the hotel so that they can manage their hotel services enabled for guest.
FEASIBILITY STUDY
A feasibility study is an evaluation of a proposal designed to determine the difficulty in
carrying out a designated task. Generally a feasibility study precedes technical development and
project implementation.

A feasibility study is a test of a system proposal according to its workability impact on

organization, ability to meet user needs and effective use of resources. The objective of a
feasibility study is not to solve a problem but to acquire a sense of its scope. In other words, a
feasibility study is an evaluation or analysis of the potential impact of a proposed project.

2.1 EXISTING SYSTEM

The existing system in market was distributed. The main difficulty was for customers to
find the appropriate service. It was hard to main that existing system. Service was distributed at
different links in existing system. Customer find himself confused to know what is available and
where to find it.

The existing system has some limitation

1. Less manual work
2. Error occurs frequently
3. Data redundancy & inconsistency

2.2 PROPOSED SYSTEM

In proposed system, we are implementing finger print recognition technique for highly secured
privacy for guest stayed in hotel. It providing special concession to physically and disabled
customers. It providing with discount regular customers.
Despite the Internet’s growing acceptance, the telephone network is still more widely and readily
accessible.
And it use most natural form of communication the human voice.

2.3 BRIEF FEASIBILITY STUDY

An important outcome of the preliminary investigation is the determination that the system
requested is feasible. There are three aspect in the feasibility study.
 Technical Feasibility
 Operational Feasibility
 Economic Feasibility

TECHNICAL FEASIBILITY

This is concerned with specifying equipment and software that will successfully satisfy the
user’s requirements. The technical needs of the system may vary considerably, but might
include:

1. The facility to produce output is in a given time.

2. Response time under certain conditions.
3. Ability to process a certain volume of transaction at a particular speed.
4. Facility to a communicate date to distance location.

OPERATIONAL FEASIBILITY

Operational feasibility determines how much effort will go in the proposed information system,
and in educating and training the employee on the new system, along with the new ways of
conducting the business.

Following question helped to us test the operational feasibility of system.

1. What changes will be brought with the system?

2. What organizational structures are disturbed?
3. What new skill will be required? Do existing staff members have these skills?

ECONOMICAL FEASIBILITY

Economic analysis is the most frequently used technique for evaluation the effectiveness of a
proposed system. More commonly known as cost/benefits analysis: the procedure is to determine
the benefits and savings that expected from a proposed system and compare with them costs.
