IP, Broadband and Core Trainee Services Engineer (3-6 month contract)

Job Description

 Services Engineer is an entry position for Ericsson in the Professional Services area.
 The job holder will get specific on-the-job-training and experience to be able to work
independently later on.
 The job holder participates in the execution of work duties as described below, but does
carry them out under guidance and with support.
 Accountabilities (examples to be tailored on the specific Competence Domain/Activity)
 Deliver services within site engineering, integration and/or configuration and/or support of
products and networks in accordance with clearly defined specification.
 Identify and isolate malfunctioning systems/nodes and if possible apply resolving
procedures.
 Execute programming on parts of IT-tools to enable service delivery in the day to day
operations.
 Participate to network optimization and dimensioning activities as part of the network
design framework.
 Participate to implement customized configuration, integration and software adaptation of
products/networks, including 3rd party products.
 Carry out appropriate site design and layout, after a site has been approved

Competence & Qualification


 Academic degree on bachelor level, in engineering (IT, telecom)
 Very Good Knowledge of the English Language (speaking & writing)

Optional Technical Skills

 Telecommunications knowledge i.e telephony principles, traffic concepts,


telecommunications network, internet protocols
 Microsoft Windows System Administration knowledge and/or Linux system administration
knowledge
 General GSM and WCDMA knowledge
 Good knowledge of TCP/IP and networking is a MUST.
 SAPC and SASN knowledge is an advantage
