Greetings to our valued educators!

For over five decades, Abiva Publishing House, Inc. has been at the forefront
of providing Philippine schools with trusted materials to improve students’ reading
comprehension skills – the SRA Reading Programs.

While the digital and high-tech culture that millennial students enjoy has made
online reading possible and “convenient,” the pleasure of reading printed books remains
unequalled, providing information and enjoyment anytime, anywhere without need
for gadgets that rely on electricity or connectivity. As a supplement to any core reading
program, the SRA Reading Programs instill in students the essential reading skills,
whether they read online or in print.

Our core, supplemental, and intervention reading and language arts programs
outnumber our math and science programs for good reason. Of all the things that our
students can ever learn, reading may be the most essential tool to unlock other skills
towards becoming literate, competent, and successful. Reading opens a student’s world
to various possibilities and benefits throughout his lifetime.

Through the SRA Reading Programs, students learn important reading and study
skills and harness the benefits of reading, not only to gain academic success, but also to
gain success in their chosen careers long after they leave school.

With its line-up of high-quality academic books and SRA instructional materials,
Abiva Publishing House, Inc. continues to inspire education and support all efforts of
teachers, school administrators, government officials, non-government organizations,
literacy advocates, and parents in improving students’ reading skills, inspiring them to be
lifelong readers, and achieving their full potential.

Thank you for being our education partners.

real-world situations. Numbers skills and
mathematics concepts are linked to situations
and contexts that are relevant to everyday life. The
curriculum also provides numerous suggestions
for incorporating mathematics into daily classroom
routines and other subject areas.

Balanced Instruction
Includes time for whole-class instruction as well as
small-group, partner, or individual activities. These
activities balance teacher-directed instruction with
opportunities for open-ended problem solving, hands-
on explorations, long-term projects, and ongoing
practice.

Multiple Opportunities
for Basic Skills Practice
Provides numerous opportunities for basic skills
practice and review. These include written and choral
fact drills, mental math routines, practice with Fact
Triangles (flash cards of fact families), daily sets
of review problems called Math Boxes, homework
assignments called Home Links or Study Links, timed
tests, and a wide variety of math games.

Emphasis on Communication
Students are encouraged to explain and discuss their
mathematical thinking. Opportunities to
verbalize their thoughts and strategies give children
the chance to clarify their thinking and gain insights
from others.

Teaches students how to use technology
appropriately. The curriculum includes many
activities in which learning is extended and enhanced
through the use of calculators. All activities intended
to reinforce basic paper and pencil and mental
computation skills are clearly marked with a no
