BSc ECP II registration will take place on Monday, January 20th at the Sports Complex from 7:30 AM. An appeal was made to senate to discuss carrying modules and feedback is expected by the end of the day on Tuesday. Classes for BSc II and III will start on Monday while issues are resolved. Students facing exclusion should not bypass the deputy president and can collect exclusion letters or seek help on resolving issues. Outstanding registration problems will be addressed this week.

    To the students of the School of Science & Technology

    Good day all. I hope this finds you well. Thank you for the patience you exercised during the
    past week of registration given all the obstacles we faced. Your cooperation has really made
    things more manageable to solve. A few updates;

    • BSc ECP II will have their registration tomorrow (Monday, 20 January 2020). This will
    take place at Sports Complex and the doors will open at 07H30.

    • The issue of carrying modules has been discussed with the dean of the school, and is
    now escalated to senate where a meeting will sit on Tuesday, 21 January to discuss the
    issue. The feedback should be in before the end of the day and we will communicate
    the way forward from there.

    • Classes for BSc II and III commence Monday, 20 January. An appeal for an extension
    was not granted due to the fear of falling behind on the academic year, however the first
    week will be mainly departmental administration and introductions to allow everyone
    to start almost on the same time while all the hanging issues are being sorted.

    • I urge everyone who is facing exclusion to NOT bypass the office of the deputy
    president, Mr DD Marubini. He will assist with all appeals and exclusion related cases.
    With that being said, whoever has not collected their exclusion letter can do so on
    Monday at Sports complex as that’s where we will be operating from or alternatively
    on Tuesday at NSB 1st Floor.

    • All outstanding issues will be handled this week. Please do avail yourselves wherever
    we are stationed for the day. You can reach out to any of the subcommittee members to
    enquire.

    • I would also like to take this time to extend best wishes to those who are sitting for
    special examinations this week. May you study well and excel in what you write.
