DATA ANALYSIS
REFERENCE DATA: NETWORK CELL TRACE DATA FOR DABSC17
As the worst performing BSC in DAR metropolis in terms of call and signalling drops, DABSC17 was used as
a trial BSC to simulate the process detailed above, and the Chart below gives the high level breakdown of
issues for the 106 worst performing cells in DABSC17, and the table also gives a summary of solutions
aimed at addressing the issues

2 Clusters were identified for RF drive test to correlate the field data and statistical data from the call trace,
the clusters are
1. Airport Cluster, poor SDCCH Access, TCH and SD drop all across the cluster especially for the
dominant cells serving the Airport
2. CHRIS Cluster, with specific drive test route to correlate poor KPI data for, DAR243, DAR244,
DAR089, DAR062 and DAR090, with the view to correct the poor cluster performance
3. Other drive test to be done based on the result of physical site visits and audits
Analysis and complete optimization for the 24 BSCs in the Network would take about 5 months to
complete, May 2020, but priority would be placed on the worst performing BSCs .
