LISTENING SECTION
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The listening section of the TOEFL® ITP Test has 50 questions and a 35 minute period with a
TOEFL® ITP maximum score of 68 and a minimum score of 24. It has 3 main sections. Part A: Short
Conversations, where you listen to 2 people talk for less than a minute, which will then be followed by
only 1 question. Part B: Extended Conversations, where you listen to a longer talk between 2 people,
followed by 3 to 4 questions. Part C: Short Talks, where you listen to a lecture or a longer talk given
by 1 person, and then answer 3 to 4 questions. According to ETS TOEFL® ITP Test, the topics are
usually academic topics about arts, humanities, life sciences, physical sciences, social sciences, or
campus life topics about classes, campus administration, campus activities, or even general topics as
in business, environment, food, language and communication, media, objects, personal, planning and
time management, purchases, recreation, transportation, or workplace.
