Bangli Regency, Bali Province. The parents of the king of Surakarta to Bali to look for a sweet and
pungent smell. The following is the story in the story of the Origin of the Origin of Trunyan Village,
Kedisan, and Abang Dukuh.

Once, the King of Solo who reigned at the Surakarta Palace had four children, three sons and one of
the youngest daughters. One day, they suddenly smelled a very sweet, sweet smell.
"Hi, what smell is that?" Asked Prince Sulung, "Do you kiss it too?
"Yes, Kanda. "The sweet smell is very strong," the three brothers answered in unison.
"Taking the fragrant smell comes from the east, Kanda," said the Youngest Princess.
The four brothers were very curious and interested in the scent. Finally, they agreed to find the
source. After preparing all the necessities and getting permission from my father, they departed
towards the East. The farther east, the fragrant smell stung.
After months of walking through dense forests, crossing rivers and the Bali Strait, they finally arrived
on the island of Bali. Then they continued their journey to the border of the island of Bali to the east,
namely the border between the villages of Ciluk Karangasem and Tepi which is located near
Buleleng. Arriving at the foot of Mount Batur to the south, the Youngest Princess suddenly stepped
in.
"Adinda is interested in this place, Kanda. If permitted, allow Adinda to live in this place, "pleaded
the Youngest Princess.
The youngest daughter's request was approved by her three sisters. Therefore, the Youngest
Daughter of the Kingdom of Surakarta dwells in those places. However, he then moved to the slopes
of Mount Batur in the east, where Batur Temple stood. Next, the Princess was given the title Ratu
Ayu Mas Maketeg.
Meanwhile, Putri Bungsu's former sister returned to continue her journey. When they arrived at a
place called Kedisan in the southwest of Lake Batur, they heard a very sweet bird sound. So happy,
the Third Prince welcomed the excitement. However, Prince Sulung was not happy to hear his
sister's behavior.
"Hi, my sister! If you are happy with this place, then you will stay here, "exclaimed Prince Eldest.
"No, Kanda. Sister wants to come with you," rejected the sister.
However, Prince Sulung was already angry. So, he kicked his sister into a sitting cross-legged position
and turned into a statue. Until now, we can still find Bathara (Dewa) stone statue in Kedisan with a
cross-legged sitting position. The Bathara Statue, which is the incarnation of Prince Tiga Raja Solo,
was given the title Ratu Sakti Sang Hyang Jero and is now residing (melinggih) in Meru Tumpang Pitu
or the sacred building between the In Pingur temple in Kedisan Village.
There were only two princes left in the journey, namely the First Prince and the Second Prince. They
then continued the journey along the edge of Lake Batur to the east. When they reached the plains,
they met two beautiful girls. Because of being attracted to the girls, the Second Prince greeted them.
However, Prince Sulung did not like his sister's actions.
"Hi, my sister! If you are happy with the girl, stay here! "Exclaimed Prince Eldest.
"No, Kanda. Dinda wants to be with Kanda," replied the Second Prince.
Once again, Prince Sulung had already become angry with his younger brother. Prince Sulung then
kicked his sister to fall face down. It is said that the Second Prince who later became the village head
and village was called the Abang Dukuh Village. It is called Abang because the place is part of Abang
Village, and is called dukuh because it comes from the word telungkup which is called dukuh in the
local language.
Prince Sulung continued his journey to find the source of the fragrant smell. He returned along the
steep Lake Batur to the east. Arriving on the plain, he found the beautiful goddess sitting under the
Taru Menyan tree. Prince Sulung apparently was fascinated by the beauty of the Goddess and
intended to propose to her. When he approached the goddess, the fragrant smell that came from
the Taru Menyan tree pierced his nose.
"Oh, apparently the tree is the source of that fragrant smell," murmured the Eldest Prince.
Prince Eldest was even more determined to propose to the goddess. He submitted the application to
the Goddess's sister.
"Move. You may be my sister's husband, but on one condition, "said the Goddess's sister.
"You must be the pancer of the universe (world leader) or village leader," said the Goddess's
brother.
Finally, Prince Sulung's and the Goddess's wedding party was festive. After that, Prince Sulung was
named the village leader known as the Trunyan Village. The village name is taken from the name
Taru Menyan tree. Taru means trees and menyan means fragrant.
Then, after becoming the Goddess's husband, Prince Sulung was given the title Ratu Sakti Pancering
Jagat, when it was called the title Ratu Ayu Pingit Dalam Dasar. Ratu Sakti Pancering Jagat later
became the supreme deity of the Trunyan people, while becoming the Goddess of Lake Batur who is
now believed to be the ruler of the lake.
Since being accepted, Ratu Sakti Pancering sang along with his wife to lead Trunyan Village wisely
and wisely. Over time, the village developed into a small kingdom. As a wise and fond king, Ratu
Sakti Pancering Jagat asked the state and all of its people to live safely and peacefully and avoid
external attacks. Therefore, he also freed all the people to get rid of the scent of it.
"O, all my people! I can order you that the bodies of the Trunyan people will no longer be buried, but
it may just rot under the Taru Menyan tree so that it will no longer encourage outsiders to this
country! "The Order of the Queen of Sakti Pencering Jagat.
Since birth, every resident of Trunyan died, their bodies were only left to rot on the ground. Because
the stench was released, Trunyan Village no longer emitted a sweet smell. Likewise the opposite, the
bodies of the residents of Trunyan also did not produce a foul odor. The fragrant smell and foul smell
neutralize each other.
