Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 Tezpur invites applications from the intending eligible candidates for
preparing panel/ appointment of Contractual Teachers for the under mentioned posts (Session
2020-21).

IMPORTANT

1. CANDIDATES TO ENSURE THEIR ELIGIBILITY FOR THE POST.

1.1 The candidates applying for the post should ensure that they fulfill all eligibility conditions.
Their admission at all the stages of the recruitment process will be purely provisional subject to
satisfying the prescribed eligibility condition(s).

1.2 The K. V. No. 1 Tezpur takes up verification of eligibility conditions with reference to original
documents only after the candidates have qualified for interview.

2. APPLICATION FORM:

2.1 Candidates must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the K. V. No. 1 Tezpur
for this recruitment process and available with the advertisement inviting applications or may be
downloaded from the Vidyalaya web site with U.R.L. https:// no1tezpur.kvs.ac.in

3. LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS: 8th FEBRUARY 2020

3.1 The completed Application Form must reach the Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1 Tezpur, P.O. –
Dekargaon, Dist. – Sonitpur, Assam, PIN – 784501 on or before 8th February 2020.

3.2 The K. V. No. 1 Tezpur will not be responsible for applications sent at any other address or
otherwise. Candidates may submit their application through Post/ By Hand. Candidates are
advised to send the application well in advance to avoid any postal delay.

NOTE Candidates should clearly note that the K. V. No. 1 Tezpur will in no case be
responsible for non-receipt of their application or any delay in receipt thereof on any account
whatsoever. No application received after the prescribed last date will be entertained under
any circumstances and all the late applications will be summarily rejected. They should
therefore, ensure that their applications reach the K. V. No. 1 Tezpur Office on or before the
prescribed last date.

The K. V. No. 1 Tezpur will not entertain any correspondence from such applicants and their
applications will not be accepted under any circumstances even if a candidate shows proof of
dispatch. The K. V. No. 1 Tezpur will not be responsible for any delay on the part of candidate/ post
office.

4. EXAMINATION FEES / APPLICATION FEE: NIL.

5. DOCUMENTS TO BE ATTACHED WITH THE APPLICATION

5.1. Two copies of recent photograph (size 35 x 45 mm) facing camera, out of which one duly
self attested and one without attestation should be affixed with the application form.

5.2. Attested photocopies of all the educational qualifications, academic and professional, mark-
sheets for all the years, degree/ diploma certificates starting from Senior Secondary/ Intermediate to
highest academic/ professional qualification the candidate possesses, all certificates in claim of
CCA, achievements/ distinction in Sports, Literary activities, Scouts & Guides, NCC, NSS etc., class
X certificate for proof of date of birth, experience certificates etc. duly tagged with application
together (All Certificates shall be self attested).

6. CORRESPENDENCE WITH THE K. V. NO. 1 TEZPUR

6.1 The K. V. No. 1 Tezpur will not enter into any correspondence with the candidates about
their candidature.

6.2 The candidates should note that their admission to the recruitment process will be purely
provisional based on the information given by them in the application form. This will be subject to
verification of all the eligibility conditions by the K. V. No. 1 Tezpur.

6.3 Candidates may note that the K. V. No. 1 Tezpur takes up the verification of eligibility
conditions of a candidate, with reference to original documents, only after the candidate has
qualified for interview. Unless the candidature is formally confirmed by the K. V. No. 1 Tezpur, it
continues to be provisional.

6.4 The decision of the K. V. No. 1 Tezpur as to the eligibility or otherwise of a candidate for
admission to the recruitment process shall be final.

A. POST GRADUATE TEACHERS

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

i) Two years integrated Post Graduate M.Sc. Course of Regional Institute of Education of NCERT
in the concerned subject; or
Master's Degree from a recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the
following subjects: -

Note: Candidates having Special B.Ed. are not eligible for the post of PGT.

B. POST GRADUATE TEACHERS (COMPUTER SCIENCE)

C. TRAINED GRADUATE TEACHERS


ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

i) Four Years Integrated Degree Course of Regional College of Education of NCERT in the
concerned subject with at least 50% marks in aggregate; or
Bachelor's Degree with at least 50% marks in the concerned subject/ combination of subject
and in aggregate. The elective subjects and languages in the combination of subjects as
under:

M.Sc. (Electronics with Computer Science component)/ M.Sc. (IT)/B.Sc. (Computer Science) Or

Bachelor’s/ Master degree in any Science subject/ Mathematics from recognized university with
Postgraduate Diploma in Computer application from government recognized University/ Institute. Or

Post-graduate degree in any subject with Postgraduate Diploma in Computer application from
government recognized University/ ‘O’ level from DOEACC. Or

Post-graduate degree in any subject with minimum ‘A’ level from DOEACC.
(ii) Competence to teach through Hindi and English medium.

F. DANCE COACH

Essential
1) Senior Secondary School Certificate with 50 % marks or Intermediate with 50% marks or its
equivalent and Bachelor Degree in Music/ Dance or equivalent from a recognized University.
2) Competence to teach through English and Hindi medium.

Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications.

G. GAMES & SPORTS COACHES

Essential:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education or equivalent.
2. Competence to teach through English and Hindi medium.

Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications.

H. YOGA TEACHER

Essential:
Graduation in any subject or equivalent from a recognized university with one year training in Yoga
from a recognized institution.

Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications.

I. COUNSELLOR

Essential:
B.A. / B. Sc. (Psychology) with Certificate of Diploma in Counselling.
Desirable: (i) Minimum of one year Experience in providing career Education counseling to
students at school
OR
Working knowledge and experience in placement Bureaus.

OR
Registration with rehabilitation council of India as vocational counselor.

(ii) Knowledge of Computer Applications.

J. Doctor

Essential:
MBBS and registered with MCI.

K. Nurse
Essential:
Diploma in nursing.

Desirable: Knowledge of Computer Applications.

PART - II : ELIGIBILITY & AGE

SPECIAL PROVISION

i) Relaxation of B.Ed. qualification - In the absence of suitable candidates with B.Ed. Degrees in
Hard/ Very Hard station and in remote areas of North-East and J&K, candidates with following
qualification may be considered in different categories without B.Ed. qualification –

a) Post graduate with 60% marks in Science subjects and 55% in Humanities subjects may be
considered for the posts of PGTs, if suitable candidates with B.Ed. are not available.
b) Similarly in the case of TGT, B.Sc. with 60% marks and BA with 55% marks may be
considered for appointment on part-time contractual basis if suitable candidates with B.Ed.
are not available.
c) Graduates may be considered for the post of Primary Teacher if candidates with Senior
Secondary/ Plus 2/ Inter with J.B.T. qualification are not available.
ii) Relaxation in CTET – In the absence of CTET qualified candidate, candidate without CTET
qualification may be considered if otherwise eligible as per KVS recruitment rules.

1 ELIGIBILITY OF APPLICANTS

1.1 All applicants must fulfill the essential requirements of the post applied for and other
conditions stipulated in this advertisement as on 08th February 2020. Before applying they must
satisfy themselves that they possess the essential qualifications prescribed for various posts. The
applications of those candidates not fulfilling the essential qualifications and other requirement will
be summarily rejected and no correspondence will be made in this regard.

1.2. Minimum and maximum age limit shall be 18 and 65 years respectively as on date of
application.

PART - III : HOW TO APPLY.

i. Application must be submitted in the prescribed form published with this advertisement. The
application format can also be downloaded from the website of the Vidyalaya no1tezpur.kvs.ac.in.

ii. Candidates desirous to apply for more than one post should submit application for
each post accompanied by necessary enclosures for each post in separate envelopes.

iii. Envelope containing the application must be super-scribed in bold letters as


" APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ”

NOTE 1 Due care should be taken by the candidates to fill up their application form correctly.
No column of the Application should be left blank. Incomplete or defective application shall be
summarily rejected. No representation or correspondence regarding such rejection shall be
entertained under any circumstances.

Candidates are required to submit along with their applications certificate in support of their Age
and Education Qualifications. The candidates applying for the post should ensure that they fulfill all
the eligibility conditions for applying to the post. Their admission at all the stages of recruitment/
examination for which they are admitted by the K. V. No. 1 Tezpur for written Examination/ Practical
and Interview Test will be purely provisional, subject to their satisfying the prescribed eligibility
conditions. If on verification at any time before or after the Written Examination/ Practical Test and
Interview Test, it is found that they do not fulfill any of the eligibility conditions, their candidature for
the examination/ recruitment will be cancelled by the K. V. No. 1 Tezpur.

If any of their claims is found to be incorrect, they may render themselves liable to suitable action by
the K. V. No. 1 Tezpur in terms of the extent of the rules of the KVS on the subject.

NOTE 2 A candidate who is or has been declared by the K. V. No. 1 Tezpur to be guilty of:
(i) Obtaining support for his candidature by the following means, namely:-
(a) offering illegal gratification to, or
(b) applying pressure on , or
(c) blackmailing, or threatening to black mail any person connected with the recruitment
process, or
(ii) impersonating, or
(iii) procuring impersonation by any person, or
(iv) submitting fabricated documents or documents which have been tampered with, or
(v) making statements which are incorrect or false or suppressing material information, or
(vi) resorting to the following means in connection with his candidature for the
examination, namely
(a) obtaining copy of question paper through improper means,
(b) finding out the particulars of the persons connected with secret work relating to the
recruitment process.
(c) Influencing the examiners, or
(vii) using unfair means during the examination/ recruitment process, or
(viii) writing obscene matter or drawing obscene sketches in the scripts, or
(ix) misbehaving in the examination hall including tearing of the scripts, provoking fellow
examiners to boycott examination, creating a disorderly scene and the like, or
(x) harassing or doing bodily harm to the staff employed by the K. V. No. 1 Tezpur for the
conduct of their examinations, or
(xi) being in possession of or using any mobile phone, paper or any electronic equipment or
device or any other equipment capable of being used as a communication device during the
examination; or
(xii) violating any of the instructions issued to candidates; or

PART - IV : MODE OF SELECTION AND SCHEME OF EXAMINATION


(i) The mode of selection may include a written test, proficiency and/or performance test,
practical classroom observation and personal interview.

(ii) In case even at the time of preliminary scrutiny, a candidate is allowed to appear at the
written examination/ proficiency test or even if called for the interview and such candidate does not
fulfill any of the laid down selection criteria, his/her candidature will automatically be treated as
cancelled even after giving letter of appointment. Therefore, before submitting the application, the
candidate must ensure that he/she fulfills all the eligibility criteria as laid down in this advertisement.

His/ her candidature will be purely provisional subject to eligibility being verified again after the test
and/ or interview.

(iii) Candidate, who has been allowed to appear at the written test and/ or interview, should not
presume that he/ she is eligible for appointment to the post.

(iv) The K. V. No. 1 Tezpur reserves the right to cancel his/ her candidature at any stage of the
selection, if it is not as per the provisions laid down in this advertisement.

(v) The decision of the K. V. No. 1 Tezpur about the mode of selection to the post and eligibility
conditions of the applicant shall be final and binding. No correspondence will be entertained in this
regard.

PART - V : REASONS OF REJECTION

Applications not filled correctly and not as per the 'Guidelines' are liable to be rejected and the onus
of such rejection would be on the applicant(s).

The following are the broad parameters of rejection of application of a candidate:

(i) Non-receipt of any of the documentary proof in the form of attested photocopies of
qualification, mark-sheets, other certificate (s) etc.
(iv) Not possessing the degree/ desired qualification up-to cut off date.
(v) Not fulfilling any of the laid down eligibility criteria by cut off date.
(vi) Incomplete application or application not received on proper format.

PART - VI : SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS TO THE CANDIDATES

1. Qualifications acquired by the candidates should be strictly in accordance with the


prescribed qualifications and candidate should not seek claim of equivalence of their
qualifications with that of qualifications as asked for. Wherein grades have been given,
equivalence marks of gradation should be attached.
2. The Candidate should not fill in those qualifications in the application form for which they
have appeared in any of the examination whose result is awaited/ withheld/ not declared.

3. a candidate must apply separately for a post.


4. Canvassing in any form will disqualify a candidate.
5. A candidate appearing for the written examination must bring with him/her a Pen, Pencil,
Rubber and other stationary for examination purposes.
6. No Calculator, Cell Phone, Digital Diary, Weapon etc. will be allowed inside the examination/
interview hall.
7. The K. V. No. 1 Tezpur may, at its discretion, hold re-examination/ re-interview. The
candidate will be required to appear for such re-examination/ re-interview at his/her own
cost.
8. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing at the written tests/ practical test and interview.
9. The list of the short-listed candidates for interview will be available on the Vidyalaya website.
The short-listed candidates will be sent e-mail for appearing at the interview to be held at
Vidyalaya premises.
10. Based on the overall performance in the written examination/ practical exam./ Interview,
appointment letters will be issued by K. V. No. 1 Tezpur.
11. The jurisdiction for all legal matters for this recruitment will be Tezpur and legal cases filed (if
any) in other courts will not be maintainable.
