JUSTIFICATION:

To address Muntinlupa resident on their capacity to respond to Highways safety

by means of using designated pedestrian lane and footbridges. We also want to strictly
implement “NO JAYWALKING” policy so that people may become aware of the possible
outcome when they violate the rules and its penalty. This was also imposed to prevent
accidents and collisions on the streets.

It has been talk since then how important road and traffic safety aside from
other worldwide issues the society is facing. The world also faces issues pertaining to a lot of
road accidents that kills the lives of many. The impact of this phenomenon does not only
affect the victim or the family, but it brought great impact to the community and its locality and
how that implementation of rules and regulations was imposed to the peopl.
Pedestrian lanes and footbridges are a designated spot exclusively on highway
safety that assist people in crossing them. These allows people to cross the way safely in
favor over vehicles when you walk on the pedestrian lane. These are significant to lessen the
possible road traffic injuries and collisions.

ACCESSIBILITY:

The researchers will conduct interview to the concern commuters who uses
pedestrian lane and foot bridge so that we can gather issues and concern regarding to the
title we chose. We can provide the questioner for them to answer some typical question
regarding the use of pedestrian lane and footbridge and get their recommendation.

The researcher will conduct research pertaining to the usability of pedestrian

lane and footbridge to help our research more competent and help our research more related
to the study. In research we can get some related literature and study which we can help us to
strengthen our study and also we can get some more ideas to compose our own question
which we can give to the respondents.

As Criminology Interns assigned detailed with MTMB, we observe that some of the
commuters don`t usually use the pedestrian and footbridges especially when they are on the
rush. Also commuters have their own preference in crossing highway that may lead or cause
accidents. And also some vehicles do not follow the protocol specifically motorcycle vehicle
that they need to slow down upon approaching the pedestrian lane.

DO ABILITY:

We need to the full access to the information. Conducting interviews to get the
total number of the respondent, asking question regarding to our title and also get an
recommendation from them and recommend solutions. Also we conduct research because it
will help pour research more competent and related to the study

The desire and eagerness of the researchers to finish the CSAR was not just to
comply with the school requirements but also to help our community and enforcers in
imposing discipline in the Highway. As we all know that if all are become aware of this
discipline any accidents are preventable. The road safety problem also seems to be a growing
national problem so conducting this research would also help us identify what we can do to
our society and as concerned citizen

As a requirement for graduation this study could also be channel to provide

necessary information to the people in our community. This case study do not only illustrate
what we can learn but also to provide us with valuable hands on experience. This given us an
opportunity to learn about all the problems that we may be facing on this cummunity. Thus, it
may be a teaching tool to also show how we could apply this learning on a daily basis.
