1. - PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS
Product’s commercial reference: ALCOBOND-FR
Fire retardant aluminium composite panel (ACP) filled with modified mineral core.
The product has 7 layers:
- Layer 1: High Durable Polyester (HDPE) paint applied in three layers, with a total
thickness of 25 – 30 µm, density of 1.25 g/cm3, superficial density of 0.03 – 0.04
kg/m2, platinum silver colour and smooth appearance.
- Layer 2: Aluminium skin with a thickness of 0.5 mm, density of 2.71 g/cm3,
superficial density of 1.36 kg/m2, silver colour and solid appearance.
- Layer 3: Polymeric adhesive film with a thickness of 60 µm, density of 0.938

g/cm3, superficial density of 0.056 kg/m2, white colour and film appearance.
- Layer 4: Mg(OH)2 based on polymeric bonded Fire Retardant Core, with a

thickness of 3 mm, density of 1.67 g/cm3, superficial density of 5.01 kg/m2, white
colour and solid appearance.
- Layer 5: Polymeric adhesive film with a thickness of 60 µm, density of 0.938

g/cm3, superficial density of 0.056 kg/m2, white colour and film appearance.

- Layer 6: Aluminium skin with a thickness of 0.5 mm, density of 2.71 g/cm3,
superficial density of 1.36 kg/m2, silver colour and solid appearance.
- Layer 7: Polyester paint (exposed surface) with a thickness of 7 – 10 µm, density

of 1.25 g/cm3, superficial density of 0.01 – 0.02 kg/m2, greenish grey colour and
solid appearance.
Fixing method: The product was fixed mechanically on calcium silicate boards according
to specifications of standard UNE-EN 13238:2011.
The samples were marked with the following signature:

2. - CLASSIFICATION AND DIRECT APPLICATION FIELD
This classification has been made in compliance with the procedures provided in Standard
UNE-EN 13501-1:2007+A1:2010: “Fire classification of construction products and building
elements. Part 1: Classification using data from reaction to fire tests”.

This classification is only valid for the final conditions of use described
in the present report.
2.3. - Field of application
• This classification is valid for the following product parameters:
The classification is only valid for the product characteristics shown, with the following
parameters being extended:
- Variable parameter 1: SUBSTRATE

After performing the test with the product applied on calcium silicate board with 11±2
mm in thickness and 870±50 kg/m3 in density, the obtained results are valid for
substrates for final use of classes A1 and A2-s1,d0.
• This classification is valid for following final conditions of use:
External and Internal facade use.
