1. (a) A stove element draws 10 A when connected to a 240-V line. What is the
power absorbed by the stove and how long does it take to consume 200
kJ?
(b) Sketch the V-I characteristics of a battery of rating 10V with internal
resistance 0.5 Ω.
(c) For the circuit shown in Fig-1, determine power of each element of the
circuit. Verify the law of conservation of power.

(b) What is the voltage drop across the 1K-ohm resistor in Fig. 3? Justify

(c) Calculate the current & power dissipated in the resistor R in the Fig. 7.
4. (a) Find the current I for the circuit shown in Fig.8 using mesh analysis.
(b) Draw all possible sub-circuit for circuit in Fig. 9 according to Super-
position theorem.
(c) Find the current through 5-ohm resistor using Super-position principle in
the circuit shown in Fig. 9.

5. (a) Two resistances R and R are connected in parallel. If R = 90 Ω and the
