COMPARISON

1. The RHINO 3DSL scanner solution is the logical evolution over traditional NDT
techniques for pipeline external corrosion, dent and crack inspection.
2. The latest innovations in 3D scanning provides improved data quality.
3. The inspection speed can be more than 80 times faster than the pit gauge technique
considering the time to setup, perform the inspection, and run the analysis to generate
a report.
4. Repeatable results are ensured by the scanner design and the auto-generated reports
with accuracy.
5. Pit gauge method does not compensate for any flatness, ovality, deformations or crack
like damage affecting the real pipe geometry.

 No need for internal scaffolding, blinding of piping, lock & tag out, confined space entry, and associated permitting
 3DSL Rhino is mounted to the GE BIKE robot using a mechanical fixture
 3DSL Rhino and GE BIKE robot are operating using the same ruggedized system controller
 2D wide angle image acquisition and 3D image acquisition and analysis are used to determine the location and impact of
infrastructure damage
 3D LOC feature enables the location of anomalies to be tagged and allows the BIKE to return to a specified location.

• Inspection of concrete up to 1500 mm thickness for the evaluation of consistency of the
construction.
• Search for foreign inclusions, cavities, voids, delamination and cracks in the concrete
objects.
• Search for plastic and metal pipes of a diameter more than 10 mm in reinforced concrete.
• Evaluation of condition of the channels with stressed reinforcement in reinforced concrete
bridges.
• Inspection of understructures, columns and Vessels foundation, overhead covers in cast-in-
place constructions.
