The picture above is one of many copies1 of a Vincent Van 9ogh painting: SunflowerS. It is one
of his most famous artworks2.
During 1888 - 1889 in Arles in the South of France, Vincent painted five large canvases3 with
sunflowers. He used three different shades4 of yellow, and ‘nothing else'. With this, he showed that it was
possible to create several versions5 of the same picture without it losing its power.
What else do you know about Vincent Van Gogh?

He was a famous painter, who suffered from mental problems.
