Main Text: Lecture notes and presentations. These will be made available on Metu-Class
Invited Speakers: Speakers may be invited from industry and academic institutions to deliver
interesting seminars. Power point slides of seminars will not be available on Metu-Class.
Catalog Content:
This is an orientation course aiming at introducing the student to the profession of engineering in
general and Electrical and Electronics engineering in particular, with a discussion of the past,
present and future of major areas. Course will benefit from external lecturers and audio-visual aids
whenever applicable.
Course Objectives:
To introduce students to the aspects of profession of engineering other than technical aspects
covered in the courses and increase their level of understanding of their objectives and give them a
wider view on what they will study.
