OBJECTIVES
At the end of the session, students are expected to:
1. Analyze the figures of speech and other literary techniques and devices in the text.
2. Explain how these figures of speech and devices contribute to the larger meaning of the
poem.

1. ACTIVITIY (Picture Analysis)
Ask the learners to analyze the posted pictures on the board.
Questions:
1. What do you observe with the pictures posted on the board?
2. What are their similarities / differences?
2. ANALYSIS
Le the learners read the sentences posted on the board.
Ask them what they have observed on the sentences.
3. ABSTRACTION
Discuss the different figurative language commonly used in literature.
Call learner to give their own example fro each type of figurative language.
4. APPLICATION
Using the class groupings, instruct the learners to create a poem of five to ten
lines describing the Philippine President, President Rodrigo Duterte.
