The event introduced the newly elected officers and allowed members to get acquainted. It recognized the role of Filipino medical technologists in healthcare. Most members worked in hospitals around San Diego County. Special performances and music made it an enjoyable evening. The chapter is now seven months old and preparing for future events and projects in 2011, including a continuing education seminar in March.

    “Getting To Know You Event” A Great Success !!!


    The Philippine Association of Medical Technologists- San Diego Chapter held its first membership
    get together on September 26, 2010 at the “HUB” MCAS Miramar. The event introduced the officers of
    the newly formed association of Filipino medical technologists to the general members and guests. It
    was also an opportunity for the members to get acquainted with each other. The event also recognized
    the role of the Filipino Medical Technologists play in the management of health care. Most of the
    members came from the San Diego area many of them working in large and small hospitals around the
    county.

    Mrs Loreto Negado, first PAMET-San Diego Chapter president introduced the elected officers
    and members of the board of directors. All members sang the disco hit “We Are Family” symbolizing the
    unity and commitment of the members to their newly formed chapter. The night was energized by the
    great mix of classic line dancing hits and a dose of mainstream pop music provided by Mr. Celso
    Macaspac.

    The support of PAMET-Southern California Chapter was evident by the presence of Mr. Art
    Trinidad, chapter president, and his officers. They entertained the crowd with a couple of line-dancing
    performances which made the evening extra special. The event culminated with special thank you’s
    from Let Negado for a very successful get together.

    PAMET San Diego is now seven months old! Our membership has grown and we are ready to start planning for
    2011 activities and projects. I am excited to share what we have accomplixhed in the last seven months and
    looking forward to meeting all of you during our first general membership meeting of 2011.

    3. Incorporation of PAMET-SD as nonprofit organization

    Directions to San Diego Health Complex @ 3851 Rosecrans Street, San Diego, CA

    Traveling East on I-8: Exit Rosecrans Street. Turn left on Kurtz Street and left on Rosecrans. Make a right turn
    into the parking lot of the San Diego Health Complexes.

    Traveling West on I-8: Take Rosecrans Exit. Stay in far left lane and turn left on Moore Street (1st left),
    proceed two blocks east to Rosecrans Street. Turn right. Make immediate left into San Diego Health Complexes
    parking lot.

    Traveling South on I-5: Take Rosecrans Exit. Get in left lane. Turn left on Kurtz Street. Proceed one short
    block to Rosecrans Street. At light turn left. Make a right turn into San Diego Health Complexes.

    Traveling North on I-5: Take Pacific Highway Exit and turn left onto Rosecrans Street. Proceed one short
    block and turn left into the San Diego Health Complexes parking lot.
