Standard Classroom Management Procedures


1.Class Groupings (Use Bell -4 rings/counts)
For grouping students
a. Seats apart
b. Face each other
c. Seats form a circle
d. Go to groups
For going back to seating arrangement
a. Seats face each other
b. Seats face front
c. Seats together
d. Go back to original seats
2.Going out from class (CR/Clinic, Etc.)
a. Student has to raise a closed fist
b. Teacher will raise a thumbs up or down to indicate approval or rejection
c. If two students ask for permission at the same time, raise thumbs up for the first one and thumbs down
for the second one. After the first one arrives, the teacher can now raise thumbs up for the next one.
3. Calling attention for prayer
a. 2 claps - The students will go to the aisle.
b. Raise hands in prayerful gesture.
4. Silencing
a. 2 claps then raise an open palm with fingers together gesture.
5. Passing of papers
a. 2 claps with a hand gesture of asking papers to be passed forward.
b. Students farthest from the aisle will pass papers to the next person to them. The students accepting the
papers passed will pile their paper in front.
c. The students at the center aisles, beginning at the back, will pass them forward.
d. The teacher will accept the papers putting the paper from her right over the ones from her left.
6.Going out in lines (Library, etc.)
a. 2 claps and gesture to get up plus two arms out stretched to indicate two lines.
b. Students will line alternately (girl-boy) in one straight line with their arm at their backs.
c. Remind them to keep quiet and walk silently towards destination.
7. Flag Ceremony
a. Students will line alternately (girl-boy) according to height along their room corridor.
b. Depending on the number of students and space, two or three lines will be formed.
c. Remind students to avoid leaning on walls and parapets.
***Please prepare possible yells to help our students.
Upon meeting your class please choose one student leader who will teach their class the yells for our grade
